Nice!  This is the move I wanted us to make.

Hopefully he fits in well and we can sign him next summer.

A little bittersweet losing Simons I have to say. He was buying into the Celtics culture and playing well.

I am not a big fan, honestly, but I do not hate it either.

We also can absorb Vucevic through the KP TPE and create a larger and longer one with Simons.

It would be great if we could add another scorer off the bench to replace Simons.  Who is out there?

Vucevic / Queta
Tatum / Garza
Brown  /  Hauser
White / Walsh
Pritchard / Hugo

That's a rock solid team.

That's probably why Chicago is sensing a pick as well, right?  It's probably highly protected, but it's necessary to structure it that way to get the TPE?

Yeh.  He really acquitted himself well here.

I feel like Brad has always wanted Vucevic.  See how it goes.
Yup

Perfect fit. Tells me Tatum will be back to absorb some of the lost scoring with Simons.

Would like to see Boston make one more move to cut the fat and add a scorer off the bench. Trade or buyout.

Tillman, Boucher and/or Minott can all go

Celts are also now only $5.9 million above the tax.

Does dumping Boucher, Tillman and Minott get us there (with us signing replacements via the pro-rated minimum)?

Maybe?  We will see what the respective picks are.

Does Vuc have enough left to be the second option most nights?  I'd ideally like to shift some of the offensive burden off of White.  May be too much to ask of a 35-year-old center.

Best wishes to Simons.  Hope he finds a long-term role somewhere.
