Why are the Clips interested in moving Zubac?

Yeah, not sure I get it.  This proposed trade involves giving BOS an expiring contract (Bogdan Bogdanovic, $16M TO for 2026/27) for an even bigger expiring contract (Simons).  Bogdanovic's contract is not that bad, if you think he can play, pick up the option, if not, don't.  I don't know the injury status of Bogdanovic but he has not been on the court much the last couple of seasons.  Then Hauser and a protected pick for Zubac.

I don't mind this trade, I see Zubac as a very nice get for the next couple of seasons of contending for titles.  And Bogdanovic may be able to help next season or even this season.  But if I was LAC, I would not do this trade.

If the Cs weren?t as three-centric as they are I?d be very happy with this trade. But Joe and Brad love the three and Sam and Simons are terrific from downtown. Amazingly their 3 stats are identical. 2.6 made in 6.5 attempts per game.  So on average they hit 5.2 threes per game.  15+ points.  The fact they both shoot 40% on a team that loves the three shouldn?t be ignored.  Big offensive loss if this trade were to happen. Can?t count on Bogdanovic.
