Should Brad be interested? Missi is just 21 years old and has upside. We also get to keep Simons if ever. Thoughts?

I have been calling for Missi all year (and going back to the draft in 2024).  Get him, Brad!

What would the cost be if we get to keep Simons?

New Orleans might like their 2nd back this year, which could be #31.  The Pelicans have no interest in Simons for their last place roster that is only $2 million under the tax.  They will ask for a 1st, because everyone does, but he was drafted by old management and is clearly not in their plans.

A late 1st is a fair price.

It would be nice to have a young mobile big man. Missi is project but he shows some good potential.

That?s crazy. I never thought he would just outright be available. He?s exactly what we?re looking for. Cheap, controlled, won?t be mad playing behind Queta, but can also do Queta like things.

It honestly makes too much sense and even our first this year is going to be pretty low. Trade off Tillman and Boucher in the process to clear a contract

If I am looking at this correctly (which is often not the case), the trade could be only a pick from BOS and BOS takes Missi back with a TPE.  Is that correct?  Is that what people are thinking?  Or BOS could send back a player such as Minott who has a team option after this season.

I don't recall seeing Missi play.  Based on stats and measurements, seems a lot like Queta (not necessarily a bad thing).  Low FT%

Missi can dribble and drive a bit from the top of the key as well, but otherwise, he is like Queta was two years ago. Raw with potential. He's also a bit thinner than Queta.

I think Minott probably needs to go. His body language has not been great.

If Brad traded for him, don't expect Joe to play him much this year.  Garza helps the team more this season.

Yeah, especially since the bench guys Mazzulla has been forced to give minutes to haven't improved at all, have they ?
(Kornet, Pritchard, Hauser, Queta, Walsh, Garza and I thought Minott had been playing well earlier in the season)
Joe has always been too stubborn to change. It's as if he has to be right above all else.

The lack of real trade rumors has me thinking Brad is gonna surprise us all with a move nobody expected. Hard to imagine the team stands pat at the trade deadline.

I don't understand this.  Who is Mazzulla refusing to play?  Minott is hurt, and was inconsistent when he did play.  Garza, Walsh, Hugo, even Scheierman are all playing.  Pritchard, Hauser, and Queta are starting.  Is this about Boucher?  I admit, I am surprised he is not playing. Tillman?  Are you criticizing Mazzulla for playing Pritchard, Hauser, Queta, etc., or saying that he is only playing them because he is forced to play them, and that somehow proves he is stubborn?

For the record, I am not sure that Yves Missi would earn minutes.  I am interested in him as a developmental prospect, but I don't see him helping in a 2026 playoff run all that much.  I agree with Roy that he is likely behind Garza on the depth chart, but maybe ahead of Tillman and Boucher.  I am not sure that has anything to do with Mazzulla.
