Great battle. East is very open though. Get Tatum back and trade Simons for a solid big and I think we are favorites in the East. Team fought all game. Hard to complain too much they just do not have many guys that can create their own offense. Still really impressed with them.

Great game.   Yes the missed fts hurt, but JB also hit two other tough baskets to bring us back to have a chance to win.  The last shot was just too difficult, but it was the best thing we could get.  JB played CC tough when he was on him.   If Tatum comes back and even gives us 15 min off the bench do we win this one?

Was a good effort.

I'm not convinced Detroit is a true contender.  A good regular season team, but a pseudocontender.  Then again, without a healthy Celtics team, the East isn't that strong.

Detroit is not a true contender, they will continue to have a great regular season and probably make a decent run because there?s no legit contenders in the east?but yeah no

I have a hard time hating this Detroit team.   Cade is a great player, works hard, shares the ball, plays hard on both ends.  The other guys play hard, play their roles, are pests on def.  I still can't stand Duncan Robinson, but other than him the Pistons are pretty likeable.   But if Tatum comes back in mid / end of March and we stay in the 2 seed, I like our chances against this Detroit team in an ECF matchup.

Detroit's not scary.  If Tatum returns and Brad can find a center that defends and rebounds, we should beat them in a series

Tough loss, good game.  Cannot wait to play Detroit once we have Tatum back, even if he is a little rusty.  His size will make a difference.

I think I am moving into the can?t trade Simons camp. Guy just has the potential to change the game.  Also don?t want to lose Walsh or Hugo. Send Baylor - who has been fine  and Minott and picks?

I think they could beat them in a series as is?pistons are going to have a magical regular season and choke in the playoffs

The playoffs will be a totally different animal, and experience will be a real factor.

Wow, we lose by ONE point and I knew right when they called that BS foul on Queta in the first half after a Detroit Bucket...should have been a play on....WOW. Gifting The Pistons (A crybaby Team) the win.....Didn't help that JB missed Both of his FTs near the end of course.

Detroit not tough. All our meetings with them have been close. Some were W's too. Celtics, when Tatum returns, should be expected to bury them.

This could very well be the ECF, with Tatum back

White the shooter is awful right now, and has been for a little while, rivaling the beginning of his time in Boston. He needs to figure it out.

A bummer to lose despite holding Cunningham to 16 points. Also a bummer to get scorched by an aging Middleton.
