I feel like people don?t understand the impact White has out there even when he?s not shooting well. We?ve basically been amazing since the moment he arrived at the trade deadline in 2022 and it?s not like he even has a bad contract. 29/29 other teams would gladly take White off our hands at his given salary

I think they got it. I put him in my eight. I only asked if it's worth risking leaving him as other teams might not take a 31 year old. But I agree, it would be a mistake to not protect him.

He also is a guy a new team may want to establish expectations and culture on what should be a younger team.   And he is a guy they could get a lot back for in a trade.

Assuming you could protect eight?

Tatum, JB, Neemis, White, PP, Walsh, Hugo, Hauser

Do you take a chance and not protect White, thinking that nobody would want his contract at his age? I think it?s too risky. I guess Garza is gone. I don?t like the idea of leaving Walsh or Hugo exposed.

I'd protect Garza over Walsh.

I believe I agree with the 8 picked.

Follow-up question, of those unprotected, who would be picked first by another team?   (Simons still a free agent)

This is a great question! I think it would be Garza

at this point in the season, I'd say 75% Garza likely the first and 25% Minott.  Depends on the other team's needs and if they want a center that's a negative on D and the defensive boards.
