Assuming you could protect eight?

Tatum, JB, Neemis, White, PP, Walsh, Hugo, Hauser

Do you take a chance and not protect White, thinking that nobody would want his contract at his age? I think it?s too risky. I guess Garza is gone. I don?t like the idea of leaving Walsh or Hugo exposed.

Is this purely hypothetical or did I miss some news about NBA expansion?

PS you 100% protect White

Expansion is probs a year or two away, so a lot can change between now and then.  I like the eight the OP suggested, but if someone else emerged that you would want to protect (Luka, Josh, someone else), Prichard and Hauser would be number 7 and 8 on my current list and at risk of being not protected.  PP too short and thus targeted come the playoffs Hauser too one dimensional - of course I am really nit picking here.   :D

Any NBA expansion talk seems to have been shelved.

Instead the NBA seems to be pushing forward with a different type of expansion, NBA Europe. I would imagine the NBA owners had a vote, and they voted against expansion because it diluted their revenue share.

evidently you haven't been watching him this season.  he defends pretty well and rebounds pretty well too.

Feel most will have the same top 8. Also because Simons is a free agent coming up he gets left off

Tatum, Brown, White, PP, Hauser, Gonzo, Queta, Walsh

hard to see anyone else on the roster that would crack that bunch unless someone wanted to make a case for Simons over Walsh -- assuming Simons is still on the roster going into next year.  if traded, it'd probably be whoever we traded for in place of Walsh

Biggest question to me is Walsh verses Garza. As time goes on. White comes into the discussion dye to age, but not yet.

are you saying your choice is colored by other factors?
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Walsh is 21 years old. Garza is 27 and really a 3rd string center on most teams. Jordan has so much upside. He can guard 1-4 and is shooting 44% from 3pt.  That?s an easy one for me.
