In: Gafford, Ellis, McDermott, Exum

Out: Simons, 2 x 1st round draft picks (protected)

Sacramento Kings:

In: Thompson, Celtics 1st round draft pick (protected)

Out: Ellis, Saric, McDermott

Dallas Mavericks:

In: Simons, Saric, Celtics 1st round draft pick (protected)

Out: Gafford, Thompson, Exum

I don?t see why the Celtics would do this. 2 1st round picks is way too much to give up for 2 solid backups and a guy who is now out for the year in Exum. McDermott would never see the floor.

I get this is for cap relief but we really need to avoid the 2nd apron more than we do the luxury tax. Not worth it to me.

Both picks would be heavily protected.

Exum & McDermott are both expiring contracts that are salary dumps.
