  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Started 10-17 from 3 and are 1-18 since. What a disaster that was

This is a real challenge for this group mentally? They?re really being pushed where every Buxls shot is going in and they?re starting to lose their defensive shape, which is why Joe called a timeout probably. I?m fascinated to see how they respond? it?s all part of learning how to be a good team, you have to be able to absorb opposition runs like this without your head dropping and without losing discipline

My God, Hauser. Come on man.

Wow.  Come on Hauser.

Just not our night.  Or half.

Worst offensive possession of Hauser?s life.

Hauser in his own head? missing those perimeter shots happens but that layup was a gimme and being slow on a close out to give up an open 3 on the other end, just shows he?s mentally not in it, he?s dwelling too much on his missed shots

Probably not. I don?t get what people see in him. I guess he tries hard, but he?s a streaky shooter who doesn?t bring much else to the table. Wouldn?t mind trading him for a decent big

Portis and Kuzma just won't miss.  Even when they're guarded.  Splash.

The three-point freeze is frustrating, I acknowledge that, but sometimes you just lose.

Very surprising turn. Thought Cs looked very much in control. Cant beat red hot with ice cold.

The play from our guards has been terrible this game.  PP, White, Simmons all with poor games.

One of those nights. Do Sam a favor and take him out.

The three-point freeze is frustrating, I acknowledge that, but sometimes you just lose.

Portis does shoot well from 3 albeit at a low volume, he's at .447 at just under 4 attempts a game and averages 11ppg, Kuzma shoots .333 at just under 3 a game, shoots 5-10 overall and is averaging 12.8. This game isn't done yet and Portis is 5-5 from 3 and has 27 pts while Kuzma is 1-2 from 3, 13-17 overall and has 31. Meanwhile Sam is 0-9 overall, 0-8 from 3, White 2-9 from 3, PP 3-11...they just went ice cold in the 2nd half where they shot 21% overall vs the Bucks 72%. Some of the Bucks shots were just low percentage shots that went in but then they gained confidence and we lost it and our defense lost its shape because we couldn't buy a bucket and they scored a lot in transition. That's pretty much it.

A good, painful, humbling lesson for a young team. There's no risk that ESPN ranking them No2 in the power rankings will go to their head now at least.

Not great when Hauser's trade value gets smacked around.
