We are still over the 1st apron, so we can't not take in more $ than we send out.  D Sharpe makes 6,250,000, so we would need to send out more than that amount, i.e. more than Baylor and one of Tillman/Garza/Boucher.

I am open to the idea of Sharpe.

I said pick or two, they can do wonders these days with readers.   I do think he is worth a first.

As for the roster spot, we just signed Keon Johnson who was a starter for the nets last year.

Not my trade idea, but why would a power-forward-sized backup center who plays 16-18 minutes a night for the worst team in the league over the past two seasons be worth more than a second?  It isn?t as if he has an awesome contract.  It isn?t bad, but $6.25 million this year isn?t a bargain.  He is in his fifth year in the league, so while there might be some untapped potential, it is not obviously there.

Sharpe is 6?10/265lbs. That?s a PF sized C?

Per 36 he?s averaging 16pts/12rebs and he just turned 24.
Sign me up for that.

Bust is a strong word for someone picked 30th overall, as those players more often than not do not have impactful NBA careers, but it is hard to imagine Baylor providing much if any value.

The C's this year have certainly been a pleasant surprise.

Gonzalez - I like what I see so far.

Walsh - Wow.  I thought he was a big nothing and boy was I wrong.  Really impressed with this guy and his improvement.

Minott - really nice pickup, Brad.

Scheierman - disappointed with him this year, I see no improvement at all.

Hugo is 19 years old and has a good feel for the game and is already making a positive impact.

He makes the occasional rookie mistake (quick fouls, bad turnovers) but I see him becoming a starting caliber player. He also has extremely good physical tools.

Walsh had that really hot streak but has since fallen back to earth. He?s still starting but his minutes have been down. Minott meanwhile has fallen out of the rotation after having a hot streak as well. But somehow we are still winning. What a crazy season.

I think Tatum will take up most/all the minutes that have been going to Walsh and Hugo, depending on what sort of minutes restrictions he has.  Scheierman will go back to the bench (maybe not immediately if Tatum comes off the bench initially, but eventually) but will be firmly in the rotation.

I think once Tatum comes back, for the 15-20 games he hopefully plays, Joe will use a 9-man rotation, with #9 getting about 10 minutes and rotating between Walsh, Hugo, and Harper Jr. as he settles on a playoff rotation (assuming no injuries, of course).

I imagine the Celtics will still get all of them on the court while trying to reduce some minutes for players like Brown and White.  Get them both down to about 30 minutes a game until it is time to ramp up again for the playoffs.   Plus this is a good time to see how the fit with Tatum.

With the way Scheierman is playing right now, I'd be tempted to let him keep starting in this sort of Jingles-lite role that he has filled over the last few weeks.  I think that skillset fits well alongside starter-level players, especially if his outside shot ticks back up a bit.  And I think the Pritchard, Hauser, Vucevic bench trio has a very intriguing mix of playmaking and scoring at various levels of the floor and I'd like to see if they could establish some chemistry together.

Ninth spot goes to Gonzalez, Walsh, or maybe a little bit of Garza, based on who has the hot hand and what the current matchup dictates.
