Davis is always hurt.

Agreed. It would be another Porzingis experience.
Great player when healthy and in rhythm, but usually off his game for one reason or another.
Besides, Davis never wanted to play in Boston, so he could become an expensive chronically injured malcontent.

Yes - the best ability is availability. And AD certainly doesn?t have that. It would be a great trade in NBA 2K where you switch off injuries, and where you control the player as a series of pixels, and not an actual human being with his own desires, and motivations  :police:

Al Davis is not the guy you go all in for. Not by a long shot.

I would argue we got more out of Porzingis and we gave up a lot less in assets.

His super max salary also would really limit our options on filling out the rest of the roster to compete deep into the playoffs.

So I would have to PASS on this trade idea.

Yes, having 3 pieces, at $54m, $54m and $53m, to total $151m from 3 players, we would be nearly over the $151m cap with just those 3. Then our next tradeable contract would be Hauser at $10m and PP at $7m. Even with the ability to aggregate salaries by being under the 2nd apron we would have to ship out significant pieces that are arguably outperforming their salaries if we needed to make a chance. I'm not sure how comfortable Brad would be having a very financially top heavy roster, just from a balance sheet point of view, without even considering the on-court issues.
