Before tonight Celtics had been unlucky in the clutch, they arguably got lucky tonight giving up a pretty open three that harden misses. Now 3-5 in clutch games and back to 7-7 overall.

We are playing .500 ball and somehow in 11th place, but only 4.5 games out of first place
so WEIRD.

Walsh may have run out of steam in the second quarter with all those minutes.  Still like his defense.

I don't think he ran out of steam.  I just think he was assigned to guard arguably the most savvy scorer in the league and got his ass handed to him, lol.

It happens.  Better to get taught in a win.

Harden came alive when they kept Scheirman on the floor. Harden got his points against Baylor, Peyton and Derek. Someone else w the stats can likely corroborate  Walsh got some junk Harden foul calls but that?s the norm.

Watching the replay now, i see we were up big again. Good thing we held up in the end. We can start a nice mini run here with b2b games vs brooklyn.

Weird game for a weird team.

Is Mazzulla intentionally having the team shoot less 3's the past few games or is it just a random occurrence ?

just looking at the box score, but it looked like he sucked. that will limit your minutes in the nba.

oh, and tps for everyone.

oh, and ups for everyone.

He wasn?t getting minutes before he sucked. My thought is that PP and DW were red hot from three and with Cs lead in double digits eventually 20s they were looking for D from the bench.  When he got in in the third they really could have used his shooting - but he couldn?t hit.

Simons looked weak and tentative as if he was sick.

It?s not entirely apples and oranges but Simons feels like the Josh Richardson this year. Someone who will get traded this deadline as salary in a package along with future non-2026 first round pick(s) for probably a potential long term starting center. Guys like Claxton and Zubac come to mind.

Simons is having a lot of trouble coming off the bench, and is not sure whether he is supposed to lead or follow when he does.  It is really too bad Dallas went off and extended their bigs over the summer, making them untradeable until January or next summer, because he is exactly what they need and their excess bigs are exactly what we need.

I think as he gets more comfortable with his role and Joe gets more familiar with him things will improve, but I am not sure we will find much use for him in the trade market because his salary is so high, unless we make a splash for someone like Sabonis.

It almost feels like Joe has punished him for his 25 point half last week.
