White and Pritchard again with a subpar 4-15 from three.

It's weird, I keep thinking they'll break out of their shooting slumps but through 11 games it hasn't happen. But if they can get their shots going the C's offense will be clicking

White's only shooting 33% from the field and 26% from 3 while attempting a ton of them

They will...but it probably won't happen at the same time

Honestly, I think this is pretty close to who they are...a hard working, gritty, tenacious, flawed team. Have to see the stats on how many of those shots were "good quality (i.e. open) shots, but it could be that its easier to get and make open shots when you have 4 other shooters spacing the floor compared to when you only have 2 or 3.

We should win our share of games through that grit and tenacity, and as a result they will be fun wins, but there will be heartbreaking losses in there too because we just aren't going to be able to consistently execute. But I'm enjoying watching their evolution, and the young guys trying to carve out careers for themselves. There's lots of fascinating subplots in this year's Celtics team, even if none of them involve competing for a championship. That might make it automatically not fun for some folks but I find it interesting seeing who stands up to be counted this year  :police:

With Tatum out, everyone has a better defender on them as they moved up a notch.   Is it a slump or is it harder to get off their shot against better players?

Wagner is a handful...
Some questioning whether F Wagner has overtaken Banchero as Orlando's best player.

Both big dudes and very good players.

I?d favor trading JB for Banchero. Not for Wagner.
I would not trade JB for either, but I may like F Wagner better than Banchero. He just seems to do more different things on both sides of the ball.

Last year Derick White shot 37.7% from three when Tatum was off, 39.6% when he was on. In other words Tatum being there or not had only a slight effect on his three point shooting.

he's just missing shots right now.

In March of 2022, the season he was traded to BOS, he shot 26% from 3 for month.  14 games.  He played 7 games in Feb and shot 25% from 3.  That is 1.5 months, 21 games of really poor shooting after the trade.  He doesn't seem to like change.  He is probably affected a little in terms of getting space for shots due to Tatum being out but I think the issue is in his head.  I feel like he will adjust, get comfortable again, just like he eventually did after the trade.

Banchero is 22 years old. He?s averaging 23pts/9rebs/4ast and is only going to get better.

He?s also a tank at 6?10/250lbs. The Magic would never move him for JB.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I don?t think anyone was suggesting they would.   You?re right, they wouldn?t.  The point was made that F Wagner was overtaking Banchero and my point was only that Banchero has more value imo.
