I think the top 4 picks all fit very well, and lots of interesting players mid to late lottery. Share your favorite prospects for celtics going forward.

Peterson would be amazing. 6'5" power Guard that can do it all fits any team.Boozer jr. That's the PF this team has needed for a long time.
Boozer/Tatum/Brown great big 3 in the making.

AJ Dybantsa. A bit strange of a fit with 3 natural small forwards but the talent is so great I'm not complaining.

Nate Ament 6'10" 207 pounds. A young Durant type. Sign me up

Talk about your favorite prospects to get us back in contention.

I think Boozer is probably the best fit of the three high level guys, just because I've always been a fan of Brown and Tatum at SG/SF vs SF/PF. It gives both guys more size advantages to attack.

But with Tatum coming off the achilles his future may just be at PF from here on out. Given that I kind of wish there was a higher level Center option in the draft. A rim protecting 3 point shooting 6'11 or bigger guy would be ideal.

In reality I'm not sure fit matters that much. I think the top 3 guys could all be impactful pretty quickly, but while there's some interesting guys in the 4-10 range I think they might take longer to be positive impact players just because that's usually the case. Guys in that range often aren't positive impact players in years 1 or 2, it usually takes a few seasons before they contribute to winning.

I am a big fan of Caleb Wilson at UNC. Like many of the top prospects he has elite size for his position and has so far been a monster on both sides of the ball. I also think he?s a bit of a psycho. There was a story about how he always changes his phone screen to psych him up for his next opponent. Kind of has theKG crazy eyes which I think this team has been missing since the Brooklyn trade.

In terms of an actual big Chris Cenac out of Houston has been productive playing for the best team in the country. Always looking for the Al Horford replacement and he could finally fill the gap if we took him.

Love this draft. Great talent at Tiers 1 and 2 which inevitably pushes good players by most drafts standards to Tier 3.

Is Boozer an old school PF?

How does his game fit today's NBA? Will he play center?

I was surprised by how small Darryn Peterson looked after hearing about how he was a big two guard. He was more like a Larry Hughes sized SG than a Kobe Bryant.

Bill Self has said Peterson is the greatest freshman he has ever coached.  Now some of that could be he is a current player, but it is also something he didn't need to phrase like that if he didn't believe it to be true. High praise from Self.

I do think it is probably Peterson given how much White has fallen off and the lack of any other starter level guards on the team.  Also, I do think Tatum will be almost exclusively a 4 and Brown a 3 going forward which could cause some issues with the big guys (since no pure center is rated that high).

All that said, Boston should take the best player available regardless of fit.  They can always make it work if the young guy hits full ceiling. You don't mess around at the top of a draft with fit or need. BPA is the only way to go in the lottery.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Ya I don?t agree with the Kobe comparison, maybe in terms of competitiveness and skill but not body type at all.

not worried about fit.  team isn't so overloaded with talent that they shouldn't take a player because the team's stocked at their position.

having said that, I've been predicting the C's end up with a late lottery pick and still think that'll be the case.  my bigger concern would be Brad trading the pick for pennies on the dollar for either an established player that fills a hole (center) or worse, multiple trades where he keeps trading back to gain multitudes of future second rounders and ending up with a single second round selection this year in the 50-60 range.

Brad is not going to trade a lottery pick for 2nd rounders.  Get a hold of yourself.

Boozer

Listed at 6'9 250 lbs

10 rebounds a game and just under two blocks.

Can hit a 3.

Sounds like a big man that can allow them to play 5 out.

6-5 205-210 is a pretty [dang] great size when Jordan at his biggest was 6-6 220

obviously I'm being sarcastic, slightly.

I would hope he'd use the pick but his track record of constantly trading back to acquire as many second rounders as possible has been pretty consistent

Yeah, even Peterson himself is not a fan of the Kobe talk.

For me, a more polished (mentally stable) Gilbert Arenas is a better comparison.
