I felt much better when Pritchard was on the floor than A Simons. D White needs to step up and take on more PG responsibilities when A Simons is on the floor. He is too much of a me-first player to be a main ball-handler.

I'm not skilled at assessing defensive aptitude but despite a very nice block and what seemed good effort, Simons seems slow to react on D.  I like what he can bring offensively - and I think Garden fans will love him (from time to time), but I definitely have more confidence in PP than AS on both ends.
A rare performance from the C's from 3 with JB leading the team in 3% and Hauser, DW, and PP with some bad shooting -- on some open looks.   Meanwhile Maxey and Edgecombe were terrific.

Saw this post on Bluesky. Basically, when both teams shoot 30+ threes and one team shoots 10+% points better from three that team wins 86% of the time.

The fact that the C's almost overcame that is a testament to the fact that they actually played well.

Josh Minot returned to earth, don't get me wrong I want him to do well, but there was a reason he did not crack the lineups a lot in Minnesota.

Quote
Queta wasn?t a highlight on defense at all. Absolutely horrible pick and roll defense. No resistance and a foul machine.   That?s not getting it done. He?s a bench player. Look at that starting lineup- Houser, Pritchard and Queta. 3 terrible pick and roll defenders. Philly did whatever they want.

Great to see Nemi doing well offensively.  Don't blame the whole game on these guys.  Hauser has been a decent defender the past.

I think Brown got it right there are a lot of new guys to assimilate into the team and they're learning each others game and preferences.  They are still  figuring it out.  Blowing leads has been a problem the last few years if we are honest with ourselves.  Even with guys who you thought could rotate better.  A thirteen point lead is nothing with the three pointers.

I think we are a .500 team and I don't have huge expectations.   I am rooting for us to win, of course.   But we hemorrhaged away a lot of defensive talent in the off season to get under the cap.
