At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

BOS is 6-6 in the last 12 games.  They were 23-12 (54 win pace) on Jan 5, now 29-18 (51 win pace).  I sense that they are settling in at about where I expected them to be.  Based on their hot start though, they can go 0.500 the rest of the year and end up with 47 or 48 wins.  That is still solid.

Yeah, it's hard to tell what this stretch is.  We've dealt with some injuries, we're in the "midseason malaise" part of the season, etc.  Are we coming back down to earth, or is this just a bad stretch?

And yes, to me 48 wins with this roster would still be impressive.  I figured they'd be around 40, and wouldn't have been surprised to see them win 35 or fewer.  That said, I'm going to say that they finish the rest of their games at a better than .500 pace.  I'll say .600, which leaves them with 21 more wins, or 50-32 overall.

Just think we are seeing water find its level with this team. They have overachieved so far and I think now they are really playing like who they really are. Roster is not very good and things are balancing out.

If you had told me at the beginning of the year that we would win 48 games, I would politely advise you take off your green colored glasses. Happy to be wrong.

The All Star break always provides some much needed rest to guys.  You could see the fatigue against the Hawks with all the missed layups.

Why do I get a sneaking suspicion that it's going to be White that is dealt and not Simons?  #spideysenses

I don't think we could get a significant haul back for White. Do we really want protected picks? Even if we could get a center back, are there any that are worth giving him up?

I do not think you have the correct assessment on this.
