I'm gonna be honest, it didn't seem like it at the time, but getting off of everybody but Luke (who was just too expensive) was probably a godsend for us. Instead, we have these cheap, young, athletic, try-hard guys playing out of their mind around Jaylen and White. I can't believe I am saying this, but this team is so well coached.

Of course Jaylen deserves a lot of credit. And I think White is having an underrated great all-around season, as well. But it's not exactly the same thing as removing another team's next 4 best players. Look at how the season is going for Indy and they just took OKC to 7 games in the Finals.

And we still get to add back our best player in Tatum. Incredible that this season isn't lost after all

The Celtics now have the second best offensive rating in the NBA, but are dead last in pace.

That's a very uncommon combination of stats. Normally regular season offensive rating correlates somewhat to a faster pace of play.

Their system seems built for the playoffs when the game slows down.

I will say, seeing how his season is unfolding is also making me even more ticked we choked that Knicks series last year badly. If we lost in the ECF or Finals to a team like OKC, so be it. The Knicks with HCA??

Also, one difference I'm noticing is just that we're a younger and faster team. Our guys can just fly up and down the court all game long. It's different from last year where Jrue and Horford were just older and Porzingis was also limited because of his illness in the 2nd half of the season.

I'm just talking speed and athleticism of our guys. Hugo, Walsh, etc. are providing a spark and some of that is a combination of speed, hustle and athleticism that we kinda lacked last year.

This year: 25-9

In 2024 it was 27-7

I think it's also insane to think, after starting 0-3 this year they are 22-9 since. Without JT

This is the argument for JB MVP.  If MVP is most valuable as opposed to best player, there?s a case to be made.

Clipper game - best game of the yr
Centers - could not be happier.... don't miss Porzingis or Horford or Kornet at all
Brad - Please try to keep these guys together, including Simons

I?m feeling the same way about Simons as the season goes by. He?s a legit weapon off the bench.

Yeah, it's a real shame we won't be able to give him another deal, he's been great.  :'(

Simons isn't the issue, it's his contract.  If we could bring him back for around $18 million, I'd do it.

I do miss our centers, though.  It's been a really fun season, but we're still 15th in defense.

Are you saying that we just don't have 18 million spare in the cap (under apron), or that he will fetch more than 20 mill in the open market?
