Aka Tommy Maye. I was really high on this QB class. With the exception of Caleb Williams.  Was happy he was going 1st overall.

Kept debating with a freind Daniels or Drake Brady.  Really wanted both but in the end decided Jayden was better for the immediate future,  and Drake was the better long term prospect.

Looks like I nailed it! GO Pats!!!

I love Jayden Daniels too but my worry with him is, he kind of has RG3 vibes. Great runner and can make plays with his legs but he doesn't have the kind of frame like Maye, and he could be an injury waiting to happen with his occasional recklessness just like RG3. And so far, Maye has looked MVP-caliber to start this season while Daniels has looked solid, not elite though.

I do also think last year's dumb operation with Mayo, the poor coaching (first time OC in Van Pelt, etc.) and lack of talent also made 2024 tough for Maye. Daniels actually came into a much better situation with McLaurin, actual coaches, and more talent.

The overall class though looks great. Williams I truthfully still don't see it, but I don't think he's terrible or a lost cause either. Nix and McCarthy in good systems are solid QBs. Maye and Daniels have the talent and ceiling to be elite. Penix is also a wild card to me like Caleb, his accuracy simply put needs to be better.

Drake is playing well. I think McDaniels has really helped. Hopefully Maye can continue this for the rest of the season. Buffalo was a good test, TB will be as well.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.
