Could not watch the game. Minott was 2-5 on 3 pointers, how did his shooting look and how was he on defense? (He is my break-out binky this year. I thought he deserved more time in Minnesota.)
Hauser was 7-7 in ft! He usually doesn't shot many free throws. Is he attacking the basket?
Simons can score, but did he look all right on defense tonight?
Final question, are any of the bigs showing they will be serviceable to good this year?
tps to all who answer the above.
Sam was fouled on 2 occasions where he went for a layup, which were 4 of his FTs, and the other 3 was when he was fouled on a 3.
Minott had a some good moments from 3 and also attacking the basket. But Cleveland's 3rd stringer defense was pretty terrible so his shots were all open.
Simons was attacked by the Cavs on defense, but the team was able to help when he got in trouble. He's still a work in progress defensively.
As for the bigs, the trio of X, Luka and Neemi were serviceable, again considering they were going against G-leaguers for the most part. Obviously Boucher is a known quantity and he will probably be unlikely to play the 5 unless it's a smaller ball lineup. Amari is probably going to be in the G-league.
A better test will be Sunday vs Toronto when they will be playing against rotation players.
