OKC just has good depth. SGA is obviously carrying with 30 points on 12-15 shooting, but most of their other guys also have scored at least 2 points and all but two players have at least 6 points in a 10-man rotation. This is without JDub and Isaiah Joe as well.

Maybe DET was not for real after all.  The series is by no means over.  If DET can win the next game, they are right back in the driver's seat.  I also think that ORL is better than people thought.  They were inconsistent all season, and that may be a charitable way to say it, but they are healthy now and appear focused.

As to NYK, not sure what is going on.  I didn't think ATL was at the same level as NYK.  Huge game today for NYK.  They will probably take it, but the pressure is very much on them.

I don?t think either NY or Detroit are out of it but I know for sure that if the Cs had lost G3 this forum would be filled with posts of us being frauds and being done. Would be all about what CBS is going to do in the off-season.  Playoffs are a new season and everyone has to adjust. The East may not have the strength at the top the West does but the teams in the middle have talent. We are seeing this with Maxey, George, and Edgecombe, and NY and Detroit are seeing young talent on Atlanta and Orlando.  I think Detroit and NY will adjust. And Cleveland-Toronto isn?t a done deal either.

So now #8 Orlando leads #1 Detroit 2-1.

And #6 Atlanta leads #3 New York 2-1.

While #2 Boston and #4 Cleveland both lead their series.

Could be a weird second round if the teams in the lead finish things off.

Celtics/Hawks and Cavs/Magic would feel very, very weird.

Nba loves parity. We might just get a 2 vs 6 and 4 vs 8 East Semis

I have no idea how Duren averaged 19.5ppg.

His offensive game is so limited. He is just a rim roller / offensive rebounder. How did he manage to score so much in the regular season? He can't shoot. They hardly ever post him up. He has the odd drive but not many. He is just a garbage man.

I don't understand how he scored so much in the regular season.

I still think NY-ATL is going 7 games, but at some point the Hawks will need others to step up alongside McCollum. Daniels, NAW and Jalen Johnson have been inconsistent this whole series so far and at times are timid

Looks like DiVencenzo may have tore his Achilles. Brutal.

Man that's so brutal. Lillard, Haliburton, Divencenzo and Tatum all wear #0 and have torn their achilles in just the past two years (assuming that's what it is for Donte)

Even worse for MIN, Ant went down grabbing his knee. Looked like he hyperextended it?

Season might be over for the Wolves

In Q1 when Denver took out A Gordon and brought in Spencer Jones for him, they also took out Cam Johnson for Tim Hardaway Jr. That forward combination of Spencer Jones & Tim Hardaway Jr has to be one of the worst rebounding forward combinations in the league.

It was painful watching Denver try to rebound. It was Jokic in there by himself while 3 Wolves players attacked the offensive glass. Jokic was getting no help from his teammates.

I don't like that forward combo. Put in Nnaji instead of Spencer Jones and get Jokic some help inside. That forward combo is too soft. Too slow. Too vulnerable defensively. Too weak rebounding wise. Jokic needs someone to help him protect the paint & backboards.

=====

Start of the Q2, Denver takes out Jokic and puts in A Gordon. They keep the forward combination of Spencer Jones & Tim Hardaway Jr. Now with even less size & rebounding in the paint after downsizing at center from Jokic to A Gordon. Too small.

Jaden McDaniels killing those forwards on the offensive glass. They don't box him out. He is too tall, too long and too athletic for them to beat him to the ball without boxing him out.

I can see why they don't want to play Valanciunas against Naz Reid (too slow to Naz on the perimeter) but they should try and get Jonas minutes against Gobert. Play Jokic against Naz. Force Naz to defend Jokic. Naz is a mistake prone defender.

Maybe not. They are up 5. If Denver still can't win this then it's over for them, I'd be shocked even without Ant if the Wolves lose this series up 3-1. Yes 3-1 leads have been blown but that team in general just seems to have answers for Jokic and crew

Also, Gordon went back to the locker room again and is clearly limited. This is gonna be a massive 4th quarter for both teams in more ways than one

Spencer Jones is giving them nothing on offense.

Isn't he a shooter? A spot up shooter?

Yep. Ant is out, too. Terrible luck for Minny

J Murray is only 7-19 FGA.
A Gordon is 4-11 FGA.
T Hardaway is 3-9 FGA.

Cam Johnson is only 3-5 FGA. Not shooting.
C Braun is 2-4 FGA. Not shooting.

Someone needs to step up and help Joker in this Q4. His teammates are letting him down.

It's incredible. Jaden McDaniels literally said every Nuggets starter by full name, said they are all garbage defenders, and so far since then his team has backed it up and mostly proven that point lol. Even now, the defense is terrible and their only good one (Gordon) is limited with injury. MIN so far up 8 and that's with their bench carrying big time with the scoring, even when Ant was playing. Nuggets having trouble getting stops
