Nice to see CJ playing well, especially against the Knicks.

I was always a big fan of Lillard + CJ in Portland.  Not that I ever thought their teams were good enough to win a title, but they were very entertaining to watch.

I think Knicks Hawks may end up going the full 7. Both teams don't like each other. McCollum is playing like a star. Jalen Johnson still hasn't woken up yet. Knicks of course won't go away and should be favored to win the series but obviously Game 4 is a must-win for them.

Also the Hawks are actually smartly attacking Brunson and KAT on defense and are benefitting. The Knicks even had to sub Brunson out occasionally in the 4th because of the poor defense.

New York would probably trade Bridges during the series if they could.

Its insane that trading 5 first rounders for that guy seemed reasonable at the time.

Holy, the Raptors are on fire in the 4th, shooting lights out. Looks like that series will be 2-1

Gobert is playing so well in this series.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

What a colossal failure this would be if Denver lost this series to Minnesota. DEN has a fantastic team.

None of Nuggets starters come out of this with any credit.

* Jokic = 7-26 FGA 11-11 FTA for 27pts. 4 turnovers vs 3 assists. 15 rebounds.
* Jamal Murray = 5-17 FGA 6-7 FT for 16pts. 4 assists.
* Cam Johnson = 6pts 2reb 1ast 24min
* Spencer Jones = 6pts 1reb 0ast 28min
* C Braun = 2pts 2reb 0ast 24min

They don?t play defense, though.

What a colossal failure this would be if Denver lost this series to Minnesota. DEN has a fantastic team.

They don?t play defense, though.

I consider them a good defensive team. Season averages (like defensive efficiency) are misleading because they have had so many injuries.

Two high quality defenders in A Gordon and C Braun. Both among the better defenders in the league at their respective positions. Good defender in Jokic. Two average defenders in J Murray & Cam Johnson (maybe overly generous for Cam Johnson). Two good defenders on the perimeter off the bench in Bruce Brown Jr and Peyton Watson. Valanciunas passable bench big. Tim Hardaway Jr a poor defender. That is their top 9.

That is a team with enough defensive talent to be a good defensive team. Not a top defensive team but a good one. An above average defensive unit.

-----------------

I said the 2 top defenders on the team are A Gordon and Christian Braun. They only got half a season out of each of them. 36 games for A Gordon. 44 games for C Braun. Only 54 games for P Watson who is their best or 2nd best defender (Bruce Brown) off the bench. They have been missing their better defenders for most of the season.

Further inconsistency defensively from absences from Jokic (65 games played) and Cam Johnson (54 games played).

-----------------

A Gordon was a big miss for them tonight. Like an offensive player who is a connecter with ball-handling and passing, he is a connecter on defense. His versatility defensively is huge for them. Especially for Jokic who doesn't defend well in space. He needs a quick footed defensive PF next to him. Spence Jones is a slow footed SF. He can't do that job.

I am surprised they didn't go with Zeke Nnaji. He is a bad offensive player but very good defensively. He is only passable on offense when coupled with Jokic otherwise he is so bad on offense that he takes more away offensively than he adds defensively.

Looks like no sweeps for the Eastern Conference this round.

Atlanta up 2-1. Toronto took over in Game 3. Boston better win tomorrow, essentially a must win game at this point.

Kevin Durant questionable for Game 3 with a new ankle injury. Per the Rockets, Durant is dealing with a sprained left ankle.

Austin Reaves upgraded to questionable for Game 3.

Thunder's Jalen Williams out with hamstring injury for a few games, and now suddenly reshaping Lakers' upset chances for next round.  :-X
