Thinking of possible trades for Davis, I think this one makes some sense for all the teams

Dallas - Herro, Fontecchio
Memphis - Davis
Miami - Morant, Jerome

Dallas would probably have to move Herro or Irving, but I think value wise that makes some level of sense. I just can't see teams giving more than that for Davis.

Memphis Grizzlies star point guard Ja Morant has bought a home in Miami, according to Miami-Dade County property records. Records show that, on Dec. 23, 2025, Morant was listed as an executor of a trust that purchased a $3.2 million home. The purchase came more than two weeks before sources confirmed that the Grizzlies were considering trading Morant. The Commercial Appeal will not be listing the property address for safety reasons, but the home is approximately four miles, or about a 20-minute drive, from the arena where the Miami Heat play.

Davis has 1/2 the value of Morant. I'd stay clear of Mr. Glass/ Street clothes, who is once again going to miss one to two months of basketball this season.

You realize Morant is an undersized guard who has been suspended or injured almost as much as AD.  Morant is younger so these injuries and suspension issues are very concerning as well.

Miami has emerged as an attractive option to Ja Morant and his camp

There are teams with varying levels of interest in Morant ? Minnesota, Sacramento and Milwaukee to name a few ? but Miami has quickly emerged as an attractive option to Morant and his camp in recent days, sources say. The Heat have historically been regarded as one of the NBA's most detail-oriented and structured organizations, a major aspect of development that appeals to Morant, who has missed 34 games due to various suspensions. Morant also has a deep respect for Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra, who also runs Team USA; Morant desires to represent his country in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Miami's veteran presence is an additional selling point and something Morant craves. Yahoo! Sports

Or, he would enjoy a warm weather climate with no state income tax and a great party scene.
my thoughts exactly

Those remind me of comments Morant has made in the past. He wanted that in Memphis. A few years back. More vets as well.

These last few coaching changes / system changes have soured him on the Memphis front office. The lack of vets bothered him.

I do believe he values those things Miami offer. That Morant wants to be in a well run organization. That all seems in line with issues Morant has had in the past with Memphis. I think those are honest reasons why Morant would like to be in Miami.

I don't see too many teams being in on Morant, so Miami is probably where he'll end up and they are desperate for another star player too. The only other possibility I could see is Milwaukee getting desperate and trading for Morant to pair with Giannis and trying that as an official last-ditch effort. Miami does have some contracts they could easily part with for salary-matching (Wiggins or Herro or Rozier if allowed) and then they could add a few younger players not named Powell/Mitchell/Ware and pick(s)

Yes, and that's how bad Davis is to be 1/2 his value. There are reports Davis is consider negative value contract by multiple teams.

so is Morant, who aside from being one idiotic move away from being suspended indefinitely is also injured a lot and playing the literal worst basketball in his career.
