Detroit have 25 wins and 8 losses now after beating LAL earlier tonight. That puts them on pace for a 62 win season. That is crazy. I don't think they are anywhere near that good.

I'm not seeing it either, but hey if they play New York in the playoffs and avenge last year, I'd be cool with that. The Knicks are just 1.5 behind them too though, so it's very possible NY will pass them for the 1 seed anyways

Doncic is getting flamed online for not playing defense. I haven't seen much of the Lakers outside of clips or highlights, but even with Luka's remarkable weight loss and being in shape he looks like he isn't even trying on that end. Guys are still just blowing past him or he's not even really helping on defense when someone else is defending and needs it maybe inside the paint. He just stares and stands there.

Even Reggie Miller said that it was disturbing for him to see Luka playing with no effort on D.

Trae Young out tonight. Atlanta get back to winning ways against Minnesota without Trae. Good win against a strong Minny team.

Hawks are now 2 wins 8 losses with Trae in the lineup versus 14 wins 11 losses without Trae.

The irony is, Doncic was the one still traded before Trae Young  :P

This does make me happy.  Doesn?t make up for the god awful trade that occasionally keeps me up at night. Will be ten years before the impact of that one wanes.  Keep slacking Luka!

That's good news for me lol hope teams continue to pound on Luka as they play against him to wear him off

What's with NBA big men and getting hyperextended knees lately?

Now Wemby suffered a hyperextended left knee tonight. At least initial tests show negative and he should be ok.

Doesnt seem that a long career is likely for Wemby. Not the first by a long shot to suggest this but it just seems like his body is on the one hand made for basketball and on the other hand not made for basketball.

Bucks with Giannis = 11 wins 9 losses
Bucks without Giannis = 3 wins 11 losses

Milwaukee 11th in the East after this spell without Giannis. They should be okay if Giannis stays fit for the remainder of the season but another bunch of games missed due to injuries could be the end of them.

3 wins and 11 losses is 17-18 win pace over a full season. So Milwaukee are candidates for the worst team in the league without Giannis in the lineup. A 45 win level team with Giannis.

What is not to see.  They are young, but have like 6 top 5 picks on the roster and Cade Cunningham is an absolute stud.  They were also 9-15 last year before closing 35-23 to end at 44-38.  They pushed Detroit in the 1st round last year.  They lacked the experience they needed to close out games (they lost games 3,4, and 6 by 2, 1, and 3 points).  They added some better-fitting vets in Robinson, LeVert, and Green and the young guys have all continued to develop.  Cade now looks like a legit top 5 player.  Duren is a beast in the paint.  Thompson has really developed into a great 2-way player.  Plus they have all the talented youth filling in around those guys (i.e. Ivey, Holland, even Stewart and Moore are 1st round picks).  Plus Bickerstaff is an excellent team builder.  He did a great job in Cleveland . They let him go because they needed a change, not because he can't coach.

Detroit is a the real deal because Cade is simply that good.
