Portland falling off lately. Looks like injuries are playing a big role in their downturn.

They had no centers and no PGs in their game this night against NOP. They pretty much started 5 SFs.

G: Avdija
G: Shaedon Sharpe
F: Kris Murray
F: T Camara
C: Jerami Grant

No D Clingan. No Rob Williams. No Yang Hansen. No Jrue Holiday. No Scoot Henderson. Scoot still hasn't played yet this season. Jrue has played in only 50% of their games. 12 of 24, well 25 now. POR are 6 wins 6 losses in the games Jrue has played versus 3 wins 10 losses in the games he has missed. Scoot also not being available has made the loss of Jrue hurt much more as it has left the team without any legit PG on the roster.

The Blazers are also without Blake Wesley who was their main backup guard in the early part of the season. He was playing very well for them. Their best defensive guard. A broken bone in his foot. So they lost their replacement backup PG (really a SG pretending to be a PG) as well as their starting PG (Jrue) and their reserve PG (Scoot).

Denver finished their season series with Sacramento.

Gm 1 = Nov 04
Gm 2 = Nov 12
Gm 3 = Nov 23
Gm 4 = Dec 12

They have already played each other 4 times. We are barely past the 25% mark for the regular season. Most teams have played 25 games. They have already played each other 4 times. 4 times in abou 5 weeks. Why is the schedule getting clustered together like this?

Aren't there scheduling quirks like this because of the play in tournament?

I just chose a random team and looked at their schedule.  San Antonio played two back to back road games in Golden State last month.  Next week they play Washington on Thursday and Sunday (home and away with Atlanta in between) followed by two games in a row against OKC (home and away)

I feel like the Celtics have also played the Sixers and Magic a million times so far this season already too. They haven't played the Sixers in a bit but in the first month I think they literally played 3 times.

The fact that no one even knows about the tournament or what teams are still in it is also telling.  I couldn't begin to even tell you what teams are still playing it right now, I'd only guess OKC because they are literally 24-1 so I'm sure they've been winning everything lol. I know the C's are "eliminated" but idk what others are eliminated or still playing
