I know it's Ohio State on the road, but so far Arch Manning has looked putrid

Happy I bet Ohio State.  Manning is gonna be alright but the hype on the kid was so overblown.  So much of it was simply on pedigree.

I always thought DeBoer should have stayed at Washington.  That fits his personality so much better than Bama and they were coming off the playoff appearance and headed to the Big Ten.  It was a great job and in the NIL era, arguably a better one than Bama.  Lots of money from Seattle flows into UW.

This UNC QB REEKS. Yikes gonna be a long season for Belichick if this is the guy.

They also are terrified to let him throw after his Pick 6 lol

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

With 70 new players, it looked like his GM skills of picking players is still the same

Penn State would be a force with a better QB. Instead Drew Allar is just really meh. Feels like every time they go up against a ranked opponent their defense shows up but Allar is not good.

I don?t disagree but I think the disregard for adding good wide receivers is a lot more glaring.  They?ve needed a good wideout for years now and they just refuse to address it

I just hate their coaching too.  Franklin doesn?t coach to win in these big games.  He plays to not lose if that make any sense

Wonder if BB makes it to year two with UNC. Rough day at the office.

Idk but personally I think the biggest issue is the talent on the team, which I put on Lombardi. Not a lot of talent, and the QB is also not good. Lombardi is the GM being paid handsomely to do that, and Belichick I'm sure went to bat for him to get hired since they are good friends.

UNC has to be having buyers remorse. I also think the whole Belichick-Hudson drama is becoming tiresome too.

Big Ten is reportedly considering a 2 billion+ private equity deal to extend the grants rights 10 more years through 2046 (which would basically kill the superleague that has been discussed some). If passed, they'd essentially create a commercial entity within the Big Ten (covering media rights, sponsorships, etc.) that would have 20 shares, 2 for the private equity firm and 1 for each of the 18 schools.  So the PE pays 2 billion+ now and then get their money back as the money comes in on the tv deals, sponsorships, etc.  The 18 schools would get to split that 2 billion right now and would still get their annual share (though a bit less since 2 extra shares are being created).  Apparently, the 2 biggest brands in the conference (Ohio State and Michigan) are a bit hesistant and the conference wants this sort of deal to be unanimous.

This type of deal is also why the Big Ten has gone coast to coast and has been very strategic about only adding teams that expand their footprint.  It is all about the benjamins.
