Jaylen Brown's Dad Arrested for Attempted Murder Over Parking Dispute

This is completely unhinged. Story says Jaylen isn't close to his dad, but this still can't be easy for him. His dad better hope the guy survives.

According to the arrest report we obtained ... the alleged victim's girlfriend told cops Brown parked next to them and dinged their vehicle with the door of his Lincoln Navigator as he got out.

The woman stated the coach -- identified as Cross Tupuola -- then got out of his car to check out the damage, but Brown brushed it off and said it was simply a bump before calling him a "b*tch ass" and walking away.

After a back-and-forth, the woman claims the two agreed to duke it out ... but when Tupuola's back was turned, Brown pulled an object from his right side and swung his arm in a stabbing motion, striking the coach in his back.

The woman states Brown -- 7'0" tall and 300 pounds -- used his left hand to grab Tupuola's right shoulder and stabbed him several times in the abdomen. She says the coach initially tried to fight back before attempting to run away ... and Brown chased after him.

Eventually, the woman said Tupuola -- 5'9", 160 pounds -- got in the car and they drove off to call 911. According to the report, he suffered "stab wounds in the upper right chest clavicle area, a defensive wound on his left hand that penetrated his tendons, a slice wound that necessitated a partial gastrectomy to remove part of his digestive system, eviscerated bowels, and a broken right rib that may require surgery to repair."

When cops caught up with Brown, they observed abrasions on his knees and his face was bleeding ... and spontaneously stated the whole ordeal was sparked over a door ding.

Brown also received treatment at the hospital for a broken toe, scraped knees and an abrasion on his right cheek.

Officials also spoke with several witnesses who claim they saw the whole thing ... and one even graphically claimed he could see the victim's "insides hanging out" when he lifted the front of his shirt.

Several witnesses also state Brown did not act in self-defense ... and struck Tupuola first.

Side rant here: people have gotten psychotic out on the roads. I've talked to a lot of folks about this and there's a general vibe that if you so much as look at another driver the wrong way you might get shot.

Most of these tough guys are frauds and would never leave the safety of their cars, but you never know if they are armed, high on meth, etc.

Sounds like this coach bumped into a legit psychopath. That's a shame.

Yeah even as minor as a honk somebody will pull out a weapon on you. Just let it be and move along. I was driving along Oakland the other day leaving SF and I know how rowdy that neighborhood is. Basically, if they blatantly violated any traffic with you, just say "sorry it's my fault and you are right" and move along, don't fight them

If you're 5'9" 160lbs and not Bruce Lee, don't agree to duke it out with someone who is 7' 300lbs.

Terrible.  Hope the guy survives and recovers.  There I too many whys in this one to even start.
I feel terrible for Jaylen.  Even if they have no relationship it?s still your father and it?s got to at least churn up some feelings. If nothing else just having to deal with the unwanted attention.

With impulse control that poor, it?s hard to believe Jaylen Brown?s father has made it this far without ending up dead or behind bars.

From the sounds of it, his behavior was completely unhinged, he belongs in prison for good. It?s a shame there wasn?t someone armed on the scene to stop him in the act; it could have prevented life-threatening, life-altering injuries, and spared taxpayers the financial burden.
