Mac Jones threw for 342 yards with 2TDs. Passer rating of 101. He?s 3-0 starting for the Niners. Bourne had a great game, too. 10 rec for 142 yards.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Niners should just move forward with the Mac Jones era, and cut loose the Brock Purdy era.

Also, nice to see Levi's South being filled in a sea of red. Outnumbering those Rams fans.

I've always said, Mac isn't elite but I also think he got royally screwed by Belichick and the organization in terms of how they handled everything after 2021. He had a solid rookie season that ended 10-7 with a playoff appearance. Kind of similar to Bo Nix. But then the whole Judge-Patricia fiasco and a bunch of other issues (and lack of talent on the roster). Even going into 2023, they had chances to improve the roster and coaching and didn't do much and let other talent like Meyers go.

With Shanahan as HC and better talent, Mac has looked solid. He looks capable of playing the position, even at an above average level.

I never thought he was "worst QB in the league" bad like some did.

Mac is a system QB. He doesn?t have the Physical gifts that a lot of these other QB?s have, but he?s smart. That?s why he did well under Saban, McDaniels and is now doing the same with Shanahan. Just needs to be in the right environment.

Yep. Pats never really gave it to him and screwed his development over. Belichick also lost his fastball in the post-Brady years and this was especially true as GM and when trying to acquire talent and building a roster. Niners still have a lot more than what the Pats did those years with JuJu, Parker, etc. lol

Shanahan wanted Mac in 2021. Now he's 3-0 this season as the SF starting QB.

True, but we saw what Mac could do his rookie year with McDaniels. They had less talent on that team than they do this year as well.

Oh in 2021 the Pats definitely had some talent. They also had a more functional O-Line with Trent Brown, Andrews, Onwenu, etc.. Wynn wasn't great but he was still better than all our non-Campbell tackles in recent years too. Jakobi Meyers was still around and making plays too.

Belichick neglected the O-Line for many years especially the tackle positions. I'd argue they got a bit lucky Trent Brown panned out here including that 2018 season which culminated in a SB title.

I'm happy with Maye now and he definitely has a much higher ceiling. I just think Mac got a raw deal here and he's not "worst QB in the league" type bad like he was made to look after 2023. I also don't think the whole Zappe situation helped either, and it's been reported since then Zappe also didn't do much to help matters behind the scenes. Belichick let that fester.

I'm glad the elephant in the room is gone. Good riddance

Wow, Mark Sanchez was stabbed in Indianapolis and is currently hospitalized.

He's the butt of jokes in NFL and disliked him for 2010, but all that aside hoping he has a speedy recovery. Seems like a genuinely cool guy

Well, how the turn tables. Surprised coming from him. Intoxication can do that but should be no excuse.

BREAKING: Former NFL quarterback and current FOX analyst Mark Sanchez has now been arrested on charges of battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, and public intoxication after being hospitalized, according to Indianapolis Police.

An arrest is merely an accusation, and Sanchez is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
