I think the Maye plays a series, then is out, game two, he might play the 1st quarter, then out, game three, we'll see Dobbs and Wooldridge and Maye probable doesn't even put pads on.

That doesn?t make sense to me. It?s a brand new offense. Maye needs to get comfortable before the season starts. He should be playing the first Q, unless the O-line is getting destroyed.
coaches find the joint practices are much better preparation these days than preseason games. Too much variability in the preseason games, while the joint practices are much more even i.e. starters v. starters, benches v. benches, etc.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

You don?t think each team is going to begin the game with their starters tonight?

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Baltimore and Philly did not last night (while Indy and Cinci did). Cleveland has already said almost none of its starters are going, though Carolina who they are playing is likely to have their starters go.  Cleveland even said a big reason why was the work they got in during the joint practice.  Didn't think they needed this game (I suspect they will probably play the starters in game 2).

I watched some of the game with my Cowboys friend, Milton did not look good. Some of the misses were really bad, and he overthrew some guys by a mile as well (or zipped it past them lightning fast except the receiver didn't even realize the ball was coming lol)

Wasn?t great, but they let him throw it at least. 17-29 for 143 yards. 1 passing TD and 1INT. Ran 5 times for 22 yards.

I?m hoping they let Maye throw some next game. Pats were super conservative.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones still can?t believe that his team was able to get Milton from the Patriots in a trade back in April.

I really have to pinch myself that we got him after the last game that he had up there, starting there for New England, Jones told 105.3 The Fan?s Kristi Scales on Saturday. I?m just excited that we had a chance to get him. And he hasn?t disappointed. He?s actually, we?re just more and more encouraged by what we?re seeing.
