So I think it will be
 Pritchard
 White
Jaylen
Hauser
Queta

I don?t think they will keep Hauser in there and will swap our Queta for Garza but I think they?ll start this group out of respect ( which I don?t agree with but no biggie).

With the level of small ball these days, I will not be surprised at all to see:

Pritchard / White / Brown / Hauser / Boucher
(Simons, Scheierman, Walsh, Queta, Tillman, Garza)

We've got 6 guys who can handle a starting role, we're going to have to play them big minutes and not have a traditional center a lot of the time. Queta, Tillman, Garza can actually fill roles, but they'll be over their heads and painful to watch if it's > 30 minutes a night combined. We'll have to play matchups.

Simons played very well in our preseason win over the Cavs.

I think he's a legit offensive threat.

Don't see the rush in trading him. He can help bolster our scoring and looks like a natural 2 guard.

there's no argument about his talent on offense.  it's always been his lack of defense that's been the issue.

That said, even if his D improves to being adequate, he's still the most reasonable trade chip Brad can use to realign the roster to bring in a starting-quality big man.

We will know the answer soon.  My revised predictions stands at (revised after Niang trade):

Simons
White
Brown
Niang Boucher
Garza

Unfortunately, both Simons and Garza had disappointing preseasons so I am not feeling real good about my pick.  The last preseason game vs. TOR started with

Pritchard
White
Brown
Boucher
Queta

...but Hauser did not play.  They went with a really small lineup to start vs. CLE:

Pritchard
White
Hauser
Brown
Boucher

It is definitely feeling like Pritchard over Simons, based on the preseason, but I think starting Hauser is too small and starting Queta is not enough offense.  In 3 games, 16 min/gm, Garza scored about 10 pts/gm, was +8 per game, but overall didn't look great, looked out of shape.  I still like my starting lineup, Garza needs to get in shape though.

It depends what lineup Philly rolls with.

Guessing they?ll go-
PG - Maxey
SG - Grimes
SF- Oubre
PF - Walker
C - Embiid

I would expect Joe to counter with-
PG - Pritchard
SG - White
SF - Brown
PF - Boucher
C - Queta

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I would say: Pritchard, White, Brown, Hauser, Queta

Not only because they're our team veterans, but also because I think Queta is the only guy we have who can play with a somewhat smaller line-up. Guys like Boucher, Garza, and X should be able to play together (2 at a time) since they are both bigger, but not traditional bigs. They can also spread the floor.

I guess we could go with Boucher instead of Hauser for a bigger frontcourt, but I hate to leave Hauser out like that when he has seemingly earned a spot
