it is now almost August. I thought is would be fun to have people Predict the October Game 1 Starting Lineup. It Can Be anyone!! If you think a trade is in the works, Put in the New Player. It is really hard to do, which suggests another Move coming?? Anyway, I am terrible at this, so I am hoping others have a better idea than me!!
Winner will get 10 TPs from me, ( if that's legal here??)

1.  Anfernee Simons
2.  Derrick White
3.  Jaylen Brown
4.  Ben Simmons
5.  Neemias Queta

I know I am TOTALLY WRONG!! But this is Hard!! LET's see you thoughts.
Would Love to see Someone Nail this! It won't be me!!
Good Luck!

This isn't fun, haha.  It reminds me of how much of a step back we've taken.

Simons
White
Brown
Hauser
Queta

I think that Joe will stay loyal to his guys over free agents / traded players.

I'd say light tank happens and we get group of

White, Simmons, Hauser, Niange, Queta

Brown sits first month or two for rehab. He also skips back to backs till after All Star break.

Yes, this is depressing.  I would say that I expect more moves that could impact the starters, but based on what we know, I am going outside the box:

Simons
White
Brown
Niang
Garza

I think Garza is better than Queta (sad state as it is), and I think they keep Pritchard and Hauser in the bench roles that they are likely slated for in 2026-27.  Plus starting Garza and Niang (and I guess Simons) may pump up their trade value some.

Very interesting angle.  I did not think of that but it is a very real possibility.

I agree, he will be loyal to his guys who can play his style of play.

If the 5 best players start we will be very small

Pritchard, Simons, White l, Brown, Hauser
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench -

Agreed, I both these statement are right. Very depressing task to come up with a starting 5!!!

The sad thin is, when I stated doing this, Ben Simmons did not seem so bad!!!

It's probably this. Maybe Niang instead of Hauser and maybe Garza instead of Queta but this is basically it.

It's a little crazy that this team doesn't have a starting caliber PF or C on the roster right now.

Yup. Which when you look at it makes the idea of the Celtics being a playoff team next year seem ridiculous. I?m intrigued by the idea of Jaylen sitting a month or so. Not getting the stink of this season on him would be ideal long term.
Go Celtics.

so does it look like we will pick up Simons?  I guess still up in the air.
Not sure if he will help much...but we need talent.
