LA says no.
And they do it quickly.

Why? LeBron is 40 years old, disgruntled, on an expiring deal, and has a no trade clause.

Wiggins is a perfect fit next to Doncic. He is on a reasonable contract that expires when the Lakers front office want it to. Rozier is a salary dump to create future cap space, and the Lakers will get a first round pick in a deep 2026 draft.

Who says Lebron is disgruntled and who says he wants to play in Miami?

As for the trade, you said pick swap.  If Lebron goes to Miami in the weak East, Miami is very likely to finish better than the Lakers and therefore the pick swap would not occur.

I actually think it makes sense for the Lakers to look at whether Wiggins would be a good fit than to play out what is almost certainly Lebron?s last year in LA. But I agree I think LA says no because they?ll believe they can (and they?ll think they should) get at least one first rounder and/or Ware and might push for Powell, Ware and maybe Jacquez with either Wiggins or Rozier depending on if they just want the cap space. I don?t think Miami would go for giving up much for Lebron.

There?s also the third party that can say no - Lebron who has a no trade. And I?m not sure he?d look at Miami and think his situation would be that much better if at all in Miami as opposed to LA. Even less so if he still has bad feelings toward Riley.

But thank you for posting an interesting idea!
Go Celtics.

LAL say no. No value for LeBron. No valuable long term assets to make up for sacrificing the present tense.

That Miami team would be impressive.

G: T Herro
G: Norm Powell
F: H Highsmith
F: LeBron
C: Bam

Bench: Davion Mitchell, Kasparas Jakucionis, P Larsson, N Jovic, J Jaquez, K Ware

That team could be a title contender in the East. LeBron as the main man. T Herro as 2nd option. Bam as 2nd best player & defensive anchor. Norm Powell as a 3rd/4th option. That top 4 is as good as anything in the East right now.

I don't love the supporting cast / bench. Weak group. I'd like some more shooting and wing defense. But it would be good enough to give them a shot.

I'd love to see LeBron on that team.

I would be stunned if LAL was willing to do this deal and even more stunned if LeBron approved it.  He is going to do his victory lap as a Laker.  If Doncic gets in shape and plays with a chip on his shoulder, they have a chance at a title.

I am not even sure that MIA would do this deal.  What is the point for 1 season of LeBron?  They need to be thinking about how to set themselves up for the next several seasons.
