No. Its not like he took more money and decided to leave, he was traded. Love or hate his game he always gave 100-% effort.

For a game I'd cheer his intro then treat him like any other player after that.

I was never the biggest fan of Smart while he was here.  I don't care what anybody says, I still believe his volatile, unpredictable play style contributed a lot to the Celtics issues - he could be the greatest asset on the court for a 5 minute stretch, and then the biggest liability on the court only 5 minutes later (with his unforced turnovers, horrible shot selection, stupid flops, etc).

But would I boo him?  No.  Even if i didn't like his game I can still acknowledge that he loved the Celtics and did go out there and give it everything he had every night, and I respect that.  I'll never wish the Lakers success, but I won't attack one of our former warriors either.

I don't know about boos but a good cheer give all the recent departures may be "You're a Celtic". Imagine these ex fan favorites hearing that cheer as they touch the ball.

Never!
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

No. Can't fault him for trying to find the best place to keep his career going and LA is a good fit.

Not any differently than any other player in an opposing team.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Bigs - Shaquille O'Neal, Victor Wembanyama
Wings -  Lebron James
Guards - Luka Doncic

No.  Absolutely not.  I'd stand and clap for him as long and as loud as I could.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
