With their 3rd pick, the Cleveland Cavaliers will select the Legend, Luka Doncic.  Essentially 34/9/10 and leading his team to the Finals on excellent shooting.  Also showed the ability to play with Lebron as they won about 2/3 of the games they played together, so I like the fit there.

The Orlando Magic select the Truth, the whole Truth, and nothing but the Truth, Paul Pierce

Are there better pure talents available? Probably.
But I think the fit with Tim Duncan and CP3 is way too perfect to pass up.

Pierce is a finals MVP who proved he could win with 2 other stars, can go toe to toe with any star (outdueled Kobe and LeBron on his way to a ring), and has a unique ability to get you 30 every night, lock up the best player on the other team, and not need the ball in his hands every play to be happy.

What am I doing, no need to convince a bunch of other Celtics fans how great Pierce was.  ;D

I considered a few more traditional #1 scorers, but in an exercise like this, Pierce is so valuable. Plus I got to draft my favorite player from my childhood for the first time in one of these.

Thanks Mo, great pick and fabulous start. I hoped Luka would fall to me at #27 and then I?d have the pickle of deciding whether I can build a lineup around him and Saga both. But I knew he probably wouldn?t fall and now I probably have an easier albeit less sexy decision to make

The truth shall set you free, CFF! Great pick getting a local legend, an FMVP caliber player that plays well with others and doesn?t dominate usage, does everything well offensively, plays solid D

I am confused. Sorry for the delay.

I was hoping to get P Pierce too!

Going to need a little bit of time.

Yep. Always the problem with two similar teams picking right next to one another.  8)

Okay. I am going to veer in a different direction. I am not sure whether to take this guy or not but his talent and size are undeniable.

NY Knicks select Joel Embiid.

Nice. My two 3rd round blue chippers are now gone. Maybe too high usage for my SGA/KD pairing but would have been tempting

I debated between Shaq and Embiid.  I ultimately decided on the guy that was more efficient.
