I had to do it! He still is going to try to play Pierce 1 on 1 after every practice

Chris Webber was one of the guys I would have loved to have a spot for.

Deng and Barnes were both on my list for these last two rounds.  Eddie Jones was just past his prime but wouldn't have surprised me.  Jason Richardson.

The biggest shocker of the draft might be Roy not drafting Boogie.

It was between L Aldridge and D Cousins for me (early 11th round). I am not sure I made the right choice. I had Cousins rated higher as a center. I actually thought Cousins would be a starting center in this league. I had him as a top 10 center. I had Aldridge as my top ranked PF since Pau Gasol was selected. I was shocked the two of them kept getting passed over.

I went with Aldridge because he had a longer track record and was proven in the playoffs.

Amazing that Cousins never managed to play in the playoffs. Not in his prime. Not until he was a journeyman bench warmer due to all those injuries he suffered. Achilles? I think one of those was an achilles.

Cousins actually played well in a small role on Team USA in 2014 and 2016. I think he could have done the same for me but I chickened out and went with the safe option with L Aldridge.

I thought Rashard Lewis was gonna get drafted for sure. A lights out shooter who always played respectable D on KG.

Jason Richardson was on my shortlist at SG. I took Joe Johnson in the 9th round I think it was. Desmond Bane was my 2nd choice. J-Rich was my 3rd choice. He had a good run on those "We Believe" 2007 Warriors that knocked off Dirk's 67 win Mavs.

Luol Deng and Scottie Barnes were also on my shortlist. I wanted a physical SF with good size. An instigator. Ultimately, I went with Artest because he was more of an instigator. I felt my team needed that. Needed more edge. The bench didn't have any edge. All nice guys. More skilled players than tough physical players.

Haha.  I was going for a different look, because I pick him every time.  I was hoping another team would take him though.  There was a time when he was only behind Anthony Davis as the top center in the league.  Some of the advanced statistics at the time showed him to be one of the most impactful players in the league, but his teams sucked.

Another big man who I thought might get drafted was Brad Miller. Highly skilled. Great passer. Very good shooter. I thought he would fit today's game well.

Two other bigs who were next on my shortlist after L Aldridge and D Cousins were (1) Zubac (2) Nene.

I thought for sure Zubac would get drafted. A 7-2 260lbs powerful center would be valuable in matching up with guys like Shaq, Yao & Dwight. 16.8ppg 12.4rpg last season. 63% FG. His defense on Jokic was impressive. How he denied Jokic the post ups that Jokic is normally able to command.

Nene was a guy I liked. Good two way player. Versatile defender. Can play both PF and C. Nice shot out to 15-17 feet. Good passer. Great roll man in the PnR. I thought he would work great with Nash.

Boris Diaw is a PF I thought might get drafted. Versatile game. Can play both forward positions. Skilled. Can handle the ball at a high level, pass the ball at a level, shoot the ball with good range. Versatile defender with strength and lateral quickness. Not a rebounder but does so many other glue guy things that knit together a team. He was on my shortlisted for a bench PF and at the top of my list for a 3rd stringer.
