Walsh is disappointing. I think Baylor has a better chance at contributing than him.

Walsh has looked better than Baylor on both ends during SL. Scheierman?s shooting has been Putrid and he?s not a good defender.

I?m talking about how they?ll play during the NBA season. With better players around them, I think Baylor has a better chance of contributing vs Walsh. Walsh is disappointing because he?s in year three of his pro career and still hasn?t really separated himself from the rest of his SL teammates. Of course I would love to be proven wrong.
Bingo. Age matters less than experience and Walsh has more NBA experience than Baylor.

Scheierman can?t shoot or play defense, but he?s going to play better in the NBA than he is in SL? Also, how doesn?t age matter? Baylor has been playing basketball longer. He?s more mature physically and mentally. That doesn?t make any sense. If Walsh can play good defense and hit open 3?s, why wouldn?t he contribute with better players around him.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I can't watch the game right now. What's wrong with Walsh? He is the leading scorer, has the highest plus minus and is shooting at a solid fg percentage.

Amari's 2nd half was the most promising I've seen him play. Still not in rhythm, but I like that he was forcing the issue a bit more, trying to create something on drives. I'd like to see more stops at the rim by him.

Overall pretty disappointed in his summer league. Still like the potential. Hopefully a year in Maine will allow him to develop some aggressiveness.

Nothing. He?s probably the best player on the summer league team.

I don't mind Baylor's inefficiency this summer league. He should be able to be the 3rd or 4th option when he's on the court and won't be forcing it. I like that he was trying to figure out angles on drives.

Lofton seems to have an attitude, and not really in a good way.  He's looking for a ref to b**** out after every single play he's involved in - sometimes even on plays where he gets the call.

He's like a short version of Greg Monroe to me.  He has game and he'd get numbers if he got playing time but his flaws are too glaring to make it as anything more than a tank commander somewhere.

We need production from our bigs - why not Kenny Lofton Jr.?

Imagine rotating between Garza, Niang, and Lofton as our bigs. We'd have the most disgusting, productive, and annoying-to-play-against set of bigs in the NBA.

Miles Norris is ready to play a 3-D role for a team. As long as you never ask him to dribble, he should be able to be helpful. I like him, but don't see the fit on this team.

Jordan Walsh looks ready to contribute this year. He's looking more like a threat from 3 than I remember him being. Would like to see him being more disruptive on defense, but he has been solid.

Maybe this summer league is when he takes the leap.

I like Hugo. He's very raw, but I see why they like him. His defense was disruptive, his shooting looked promising, and I like some of what I saw from his passing and finishing at the rim.

It's all very, very inconsistent. Sometimes he is out of place on defense or fouls trying to poke the ball away. His shooting form is fine, but he rushes his shot slightly sometimes. He clearly needs to get used to driving and finishing against NBA athletes, but you can see the body control.

I'm excited to see how he develops this year. I'd love to see him get really confident in a very minimal role 10-15 a game. Just go to the corner, get offensive rebounds, shoot sometimes, and cut. On defense, be like Nesmith for 10-15 minutes a game.

In fact, I think Nesmith is a good goal comparison for Hugo, but probably giving you a bit more as a passer and cutter, and a little less as a shooter.

I lowkey like Shulga. I did not like the pick on draft night. But I see why they drafted him. He plays smart on both sides of the ball. He was able to get some steals or poke the ball away quite a bit. On offense, his shot has been off, but I like the control he has of the ball.

Watched the interview with him as well. He speaks 4 languages and you can tell he's a very smart guy.

I like that we have his rights. He has a ways to go, but there is a path to him being a bit Austin Reeves-ish. He said his goal is to have a Donte Divencenzo role at some point.

have to say I was truly underwhelmed by the whole summer league team.  no one looked like they were a level above the competition or the rest of the team.  not seeing any realistic hope that we'll get a good contributor out of this bunch this season

Totally agree on the Greg Monroe comparison.  I said the same thing to my spouse while watching.  Of course, she had no clue who Greg Monroe was, so the comparison was wasted.

Another ugly game from Scheierman, 2-14, 2-11 from 3...he's now up (down) to 17-62 (27%) overall and 8-39 (20% from 3). Ouch.
