However, I think I would - and I havent seen anyone float this idea yet- trade De?Aron Fox. The Fox trade made sense at the time but that was before they knew they were getting Dylan Harper. I think it?s a bit redundant to have those two paired together in the backcourt. Also, I like Fox as a player, but not sure he has the type of game that is going to age that well as he heads into his thirties, relies mostly on speed.
Agreed. I was saying the same thing in another thread after San Antonio got the #2 pick. You have two star guards in Dylan Harper and Stephon Castle. They are too young and will need time to develop. San Antonio's timeline has shifted.
They were in a win-now mode after acquiring D Fox before the trade deadline but after gettin the #2 pick they have created a new timeline. Wemby, D Harper, S Castle for the next 10-15 years. They are probably 3-4 years away now.
It is not so much that D Fox will be too old but that he will be in the way and stymy their development. He is a ball heavy PG. That makes it difficult to get D Harper and S Castle the touches and time on the ball to develop. You could develop one of those guys alongside D Fox but hard to develop both of them.
Better to clear the way and allow those two young guys to grow. Try to get a good forward for D Fox and rebalance the roster.

The other option is to keep D Fox and trade either D Harper or S Castle for a forward. Like I said before, you can probably develop one of those guys alongside D Fox. So keep one and trade one. Rebalance your roster. Your forward rotation is weak. You don't need those 3 guards who all want the ball in their hands. Trade one of them for a forward.
They should offer the kitchen sink for Giannis and if that doesn't work, offer 2 for Brown.
