Incoming: Fox, Branham, 2025 14th pick


Spurs

Incoming: VanVleet, Eason, 2025 10th pick

The Spurs traded for Fox not thinking that they would move so far up in the draft lottery.

Perhaps now they should pivot and push back their contending timeline. The Spurs can select elite guard Dylan Harper and turn him into another core piece, and perhaps with the 10th pick (Suns) select Cedric Coward. VanVleet is a perfect place holder until Harper is ready to start.

By trading Fox to Houston you are doing right by a local Texas kid who wanted to return home & contend for a title.
