Something seems odd thou that Charlotte waive Smith just as training camps open, something must had happen

Not sure about that. They have a ton of guard depth. Think he was just the odd guy out.

PGs: Ball, Dinwiddie, Mann
SG: Miller, Sexton, McNeely

I consider McNeely more of a small forward. Dinwiddie is kind of washed and doesn?t really fit on a rebuilding team anyway. I?m a little surprised by the waive but they are in a roster crunch. They also have 2nd pick Sion James and Pat Connaughton signed for guards.

McNeeley can probably play both the 2/3, same for Sion James. Either way, this Hornets team has a lot of depth at every position but C.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

"I'm in the best shape I've ever been"

A sports preseason tradition unlike any other.

True but for a guy like Zion who has always been criticized for not taking care of himself,  it means a little more.

SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon

Adam Silver says NBA teams could potentially face off against NBA Europe teams, even in the playoffs:

Quote
You possibly could see teams coming into our playoffs, top seeds from other leagues... When I think of the flight from New York to LA for example, there is no reason if we had four teams in Europe, you could not travel, play the Knicks or Nets, travel to London, play three, four times in Europe, come back home. So I think it is very doable in our league.

If this was to happen, I would be done with the NBA. The epitome of greed.

Paolo Banchero: I think we should be a deep playoff team. Hopefully, that means Finals. But if it?s anything shorter than that, then Eastern Conference finals. I want to play deep into the playoffs. I think that we have a deep roster. It?s easy to sit here and tell you this right now, but we?ve got to go out there and play the season and win those games when those games come. That?s what I?m excited for. But honestly speaking, seeing our team, seeing the guys so far it?s early, but I think we have the type of team that can make a run to the Finals.

Yeah.  It's one thing if there's a Euro division of the NBA.  It's another to bring teams from an entirely different league into the NBA playoffs.

That jersey looks nauseating, but glad he went there instead of a team in Southern California if he had to decide between the two.

Thanks for all the support and big plays and glad we got you a ring Big Al. I will never forget the night you punked Giannis in Game 4 of the East Semis.

Loved him while he was here, but when somebody leaves you twice, you have to realize you care about them more than they do about you. Him leaving the first time cost us a solid chance at a Title in 2020. We were in the ECF with Theis and Kanter manning Center

That is great for Golden State. They needed a 2nd quality big man to play alongside Draymond Green.

PF - Draymond, Kuminga
 C - Horford, T Jackson-Davis, Q Post

That defense is going to fantastic with Draymond, Jimmy & Horford. Especially if they hang on to G Payton II or D Melton in the backcourt to give them a high level defensive guard or two.

That should make them 12 deep as well. Assuming they get 1 of those 2 defensive guards. Maybe 13 deep if they get both. Gui Santos being the other 3rd stringer. Moody, Podz, Buddy Hield the other guys along with Steph & Jimmy.

I saw that this morning.

If you are in favor of Tatum coming back this year, this is extremely exciting to see. It hasn't even been 4 1/2 months since his injury. It's another 4 1/2 months until the All-Star break. Hard to see Tatum passing up the opportunity to come back this season. By shaking off the rust and getting over the mental hurdle of returning from such a devastating injury, he should essentially be himself in 2026. That is basically a year ahead of where people thought he would be, many calling 26-27 his rehab season

True. Hopefully Stevens can field a competitive roster the next offseason...C's need to win now while they still have Pritchard, Brown, and White.
