Looks like Jokic's agent was seen linking up with LeBron James and Maverick Carter, teasing plans for Fall of 2026.

Gross if they are gonna form a Big 3 of LeBron, Luka, and Jokic??

Jokic is under contract until 2028.

Pacers granted disabled player exception for Tyrese Haliburton.
Jul. 24, 2025,

Did the C?s apply for one of these due to Tatums injury?

I haven't seen any news about applying for one.  We wouldn't use it so I'm not sure it matters.

My guess is we will apply for one, because it?s useful to have.  For example, suppose we trade Niang at the deadline and someone gives us back a $5 million expiring in return.  We could use the DPE to take on the $5 million player and get an $8 million TPE for Niang that would last into next season.

Makes sense. Hopefully they do so. TP

The Bulls have reached the play-in tournament in each of the past three seasons. Chicago has reached the playoffs just once during Donovan's five-year tenure.

Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls have agreed to a multiyear contract extension. A deal had been expected for several weeks as Donovan's future came into focus amid interest from the New York Knicks.

Why does he deserve a new contract?

Looks like Luka is finally taking his fitness seriously. Guess he got tired of people calling him fat.

The LA Lakers star has now been pictured on a digital cover of Men?s Health magazine.

The outlet states Doncic is now ready to take his game to new levels of dominance, praising his summer of shred, where he has cut weight and become more defined.

Wow.

I don't get it.  Even if a trade can't be completed now, there's a good chance it could be by the trade deadline.  Vucevic still has some gas left in his tank.

I'd gladly give him our MLE.

Yeah, you are right.

I think the full report suggested a buyout will only occur closer to the trade deadline. I am curious if Vucevic would want to ring chase if bought out or continue as a starting center.

His stats are good but he hasn?t been much of a winning player in recent years. His defense is bad. Saying that I?d gladly take him given our current center situation.

Come to Boston.  Be a starting center this year, and ring chase next season.

Rumors are talking about European teams being highly interested, but he's still worthy of an NBA payday.

the "best shape of his career" time of the year has rolled around already? this isn't the first time we've hear this about Doncic. This is from two years ago:

https://www.basketballnetwork.net/latest-news/amazing-physical-transformation-of-luka-doncic-before-the-fiba-2023-world-cup

"Doncic is determined to alleviate any concerns about his fitness as the 2023 World Cup in Indonesia, Japan, and the Philippines draws near. The young Slovenian sensation has experienced a fantastic transformation, showing off a shape that makes him stand out from his previous days. Luka put in the work and appears to be in the greatest shape of his life after missing the playoffs last year. He is motivated to show the NBA that he is one of the premier stars. With the extension of his running partner Kyrie Irving Mavs could be a dark horse in the West.

Doncic's appearance has changed due to a rigorous and creative workout regimen compared to his former routine. Slovenian media has covered his new workout program, which has been crucial for his new physical transformation. Doncic has been working hard to perform at his best, putting in two daily training sessions in Ljubljana. His fitness coach gets his mornings, and the afternoons are spent working out in the gym. His progress demonstrates his commitment, and basketball fans worldwide are excited to see what he will do in the future."

i will believe when i see.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Hope that does not mean Luka's defense will improve when he's slimmer.

If the better strength leads Luka to play more games and stay closer to 100% during games, then the Lakers are going to be tough.  They'd have a MVP candidate in Luka, an All NBA level player in Lebron, a good 3rd scorer in Reaves, and then solid role players in Smart, Ayton, Rui with Knecht, Vanderbilt, Hayes, LaRavia, Vincent, Kleber, and then Thiero and Bronny.  That is a tough deep team.
