I actually would be surprised if they keep all of Chet/Hartenstein/Williams after this upcoming season especially if they don't win it all. I think Hartenstein could get moved. After 2027, possibly one of Chet/JDub too

I guess OKC is going for it. At least they've locked down their core. Why is Williams' potential supermax more than Chet's, though? I thought they were both in the same draft class and that upper number requires that they make All-NBA to get it.

Rookie ?supermax? deals are allowed to be up to 30% of the cap.  Presumably Williams, who has already achieved 2nd-team all-NBA, negotiated the full 30%, while Chet settled for a little bit lower.

Ah, okay, good call. In the Spotrac link that Don posted, they're both at $239M, but it makes sense that the potential amounts beyond the base rookie max depend on the percentage they negotiated.

I don't think OKC is repeating nor winning another one within 3 years. The Western Conference is stacked; could very well go back to Denver, or Minny/Houston finally rises to the occasion.

Herb Jones and the New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to a three-year, $68 million contract extension. Jones is now under contract for the next five seasons at $97 million.

Bargain.

I'd be expecting Herb Jones to be around $30mil. They are getting for him two thirds the price. He must have known he was already getting a sub-market priced deal. Why sign an extension to it? Let it wind down. Get a better deal in the open market.

Bobby Marks: Breakdown on the Herb Jones extension Current contract 25/26- $13.9M, 26/27- $14.9M. Extension 27/28- $20.9M (140% of $14.9M), 28/29- $22.5M, 29/30- $24.2M

Shams Charania: The Washington Wizards are re-signing 7-footer Tristan Vukcevic to a two-way NBA deal, sources tell ESPN. Vukcevic averaged 9.4 points and 3.7 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game last season and will enter his third NBA campaign.

Vukcevic is 3rd in he depth chart at center for Washington. There was talk about Washington possibly waiving Richaun Holmes since only a small portion of his contract is guaranteed. That would make Vukcevic the only other big man on the roster outside of Alex Sarr. So good chance he sees substantial playing time next season.

A benefeciary of the Olynyk trade. An opening up of playing time.

Lol - the Kings are rumored to be interested in Westbrook.

Schroeder, Lavine, DeRozan, Monk, Ellis, Westbrook, Carter.

They are quickly moving into worst NBA franchise/team-building territory. The Nets and Kings are vying hard for 1-2.

I hope Stevens is monitoring them, because they are desperate.

They have Devin Carter. He is ready to play backup PG minutes. They do not need a Russell Westbrook. Westbrook will only stall Devin Carter's development.

Maybe D Sabonis will become available in the next 12-24 months.
