The Denver Nuggets have traded Dario Saric to the Sacramento Kings for Jonas Valancinuas. The Nuggets used the taxpayer midlevel on Saric last season, but he quickly fell out of their rotation.

Valanciunas signed a three-year, $30 million contract with the Washington Wizards last offseason

Oh, missed this one. Okay, so Jonas is no longer on the Kings. That is a loss for their bench. Good move by Denver. Traded a player who proved himself not to be useful for a guy who can be useful.

I expect Gary Harris will be 3rd choice SG behind G Trent Jr and AJ Green. Gary Harris had a rough year last season but was decent the year before. I imagine MIL will prefer the outside shooting over the two over him in order to space the floor for point-Giannis.

Jakob Poeltl and the Toronto Raptors have agreed to a four-year, $104 million contract extension that runs through the 2029-30 season. Poeltl will pick up his 2026-27 player option at $19.5 million and add three more seasons to his deal.

Wow. $25mil per for Poeltl.

Raptors are spending like they think they are contenders.

Well, the Pacers just made it to the Finals and went 7 games with a very good, but not great roster. Will be interesting to see how the Raptors do with a starting 5 of Quickley, Barrett, Ingram, Barnes and Poeltl. They have some talent now.

Have any of those guys contributed to a winning basketball team in their career?

I guess they could all turn it around this year, but I have my doubts.

Im not saying they will, just that they have the talent to compete. We shall see how the pieces fit.

The Rockets have Senguin, Capela and Adams. Denver has Jokic and JV. OKC has Chet, Hartenstein and Williams. Wolves have Gobert and Reid. Dallas has Gafford, AD and Lively. Knicks have no money to offer. Cavs have no money to offer. Hawks have Okongwu and KP.

Horford's options if he wants to be on a goof team are basically the Warriors or the Lakers. So either he's back with the Celtics or this is going to suck.

More importantly they have one guy who is a plus shooter for their position. Poelt is a non-shooter and the rest are reluctant or somewhat low volume. They should be able to be good defensively but the offense might still struggle.

Duncan Robinson just signed a 3yr/$48M contract with the Pistons. That Hauser deal looks even better now.

And, yeah, DEN is doing great. If somebody told me that THJ and Bruce Brown signed larger contracts than Robinson, I would not be surprised at all. Unbelievable those are both minimums.

That makes more sense. Robinson is a good shooter and all, but 3 years guaranteed at that big of a number seemed like a lot

Lol JJJ signed a 250M extension and then immediately got injured (turf toe). Might need surgery

I love that move for Milwaukee.

G: Ryan Rollins, Kevin Porter Jr
G: Gary Trent Jr, AJ Green
F: Kyle Kuzma, Pat Connaughton
F: Giannis, Taureen Prince
C: Myles Turner, Bobby Portis

Not title contention yet. That perimeter crop is too light on high end talent. The big man rotation is fantastic.

Best 6th-seeded team ever assembled?

Yep, that post was made before the trade. So Andre Jackson Jr is next man up in the rotation. To fill that backup SF. Athletic defensive wing with no offensive game.
