Lillard & Tatum both recovering from Achilles, no thanks to Lillard
It is the vehicle to land Giannis. Only thing Boston could really offer that might be enticing for Bucks.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Brown, White, Porzingis, Hauser, Pritchard

For

Giannis, Lillard

It technically works though Boston would likely need straight minimums and some reduction to stay below 2nd apron.  And maybe you do that with Holiday though I'd like to keep him in that trade scenario.

You hope Tatum and Lillard are back for playoffs this year.  By taking in Lillard you give the Bucks a lot of value that other teams can't,  which can help bridge the gap on why they might take Brown as main piece for Giannis.

Ironic if we end up traded (just about) everyone other than Jrue.

It?s creative - and I think I?d be on board.  If Lilliard and Tatum return to form, that?s got to be the best top 3 in the league. If Cs get a good lottery pick next year, that?s another potential piece.  Scheierman has good rotation player potential.  But, I still don?t see the Bucks plan with that return. Looks to me like a middle of the roster with not much future unless KP suddenly gets permanently healthy.  Am I neglecting someone on their current roster?
Bucks would be a solid team with that trade

PG - Porter, Pritchard,
SG - White, Connaughton, Green
SF - Brown, Hauser, Livingston
PF - Kuzma, Portis
C - Porzingis, Lopez

That is clearly a top 6 team in the East over the next few seasons when they don't own their own draft picks. Now maybe they would rather get draft picks, but it does keep them relevant and interesting, which would seemingly be the goal of a small market that doesn't own it's own picks.

Since Brad took over for Danny, he has always moved swiftly with his trades and deals. Think of how quickly he swapped Kemba for Al, and how quickly he got Jrue from Portland.

So, isn't it just possible that he isn't going to break up the team?

Everybody has been saying, Brad HAS to make trades. I read straight news articles that say Brad HAS to make trades and get under the apron. But, really he doesn't HAVE to do anything. The way nothing has happened yet makes me wonder if nothing is going to happen. It's not impossible.

add Sexton for Holiday and Hauser to Brown for Markkanen and Kesler, and the C's shed enough payroll for get under the 2nd apron this year and next

Trade works if done prior to the new NBA year July 1st.

I do not expect anything tangible will get done before the first week in July.

If the trades involve draft picks, they will be announced in June.

People are always complaining about KP being injury prone, but want to trade for Markkanen who played in 47 games last year and 57 the season before. The most games he?s ever played in a season was 68 his rookie year.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

No thanks.  Markkanen is a one dimensional player who moves no needles.  Mediocre defender, seems to rebound when he feels like it, weak playmaker, and he'd he's a 3rd tier offensive player at best.

Jaylen is a far superior player.  Markkanen would make a nice #4 scoring option (if we didn't already have Porzingis, White and Pritchard)  and that's about it.

Only player I think of who I would actually consider trading Brown for would be Giannis, if that opportunity somehow presented itself.  It's not worth moving Jaylen unless you are getting a perennial all-nba calibre player back.

I posted this because it was a match and I like Kessler... I'm not in favor of trading Brown at all. Just a thought. Trading Jure or KP is the way to go... Maybe both...

I don't see a path where Ainge would trade both Markkanen and Kessler.   I would rather have Kessler but I bet so would Danny, he is no fool.

Trading Jaylen Brown for Markkanen and Kessler would make Brad a fool. JB is leagues better than both of them. Lauri is always injured as well.

TP Liam. I'd rather keep Jaylen but this idea actually seems logical if it comes to it. As @Who outlined the roster becomes more balanced and complete with some long term pieces. But as @JBCat also says idk why Utah would do this, are they in "win now mode".

But more than that I'd rather keep Jaylen personally. You have a Tatum-Jaylen duo for many years to come, I'd rather keep that and not mess anything up. Most teams yearn for a duo like that, sometimes in their lifetimes. We've already won once with them, keep trying to add around those two and White.

Tend to agree. Everything is painful right now because of Tatum's injury because we essentially have a lost season next year. But Brown is not the problem, Mazzulla is. Get the right coach and Tatum and Brown are a dream duo a year from now being coached to play the right way. Gotta concentrate now on managing our salary situation and somehow bringing in a couple of productive role players, one shooter and one tough post player.

Who would you bring in to be the head coach?
