This NBA Finals will be contested by two star players, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander & Tyrese Haliburton.

Both players were traded by the perennial NBA dunces, LA Clippers & Sacramento Kings.

In regards to the Clippers, people make the case that they had to make that trade because it got them Leonard & George, that trade was not a no brainer.

The only reason SGA slid in the draft to begin with was because he had a meeting with Jerry West and SGA respected him so highly he stopped taking workouts after a draft promise from West.

Leonard & George had huge health problems before the trade, especially Leonard.

Compare the Clippers putting SGA in the deal for George with the Celtics interest in Anthony Davis. All reports of trade talks stated that Ainge refused to put Jayson Tatum in a deal because of the potential he saw.

The Sacramento Kings traded away Haliburton after barely two seasons because they believed his playing style did not match with De'Aaron Fox, something they also believed in their decision to pass on Luka Doncic.

Now the Kings do not even have Fox.

Stupid is as stupid does.

When did the Kings pass on Luka Donic?

NBA DRAFT 2018:

1. DeAndre Ayton - Phoenix Suns
2. Marvin Bagley - Sacramento Kings
3. Luka Doncic - Atlanta Hawks (traded to Dallas Mavericks)

Totally forgot about Bagley. They also passed on SGA.

The Kings are a wretched franchise.  I get the Haliburton trade, though.  Almost everything else has been garbage.

Both teams that made the Finals basically got a ton of help from trading away Paul George lol

Essentially, both teams were built on the backs of trading away Paul George

So in a couple of years we can look forward to a Clippers vs. Sixers Finals?
