No, it's not good for the league. There is a difference between down and down 30 % in one year.

Game 7 between OKC & Indiana last night was the most watched NBA Finals Game in 6 years:

Average audience - 16.35 Million Viewers

Peak Audience - 19.28 Million Viewers

Just to cap off the thread. Good ratings for Gm 7.

I sort of wonder though if it's because it was a Game 7 and nothing else was really on besides that Sunday Night Baseball game. Believe it or not, this was also the first Finals Game 7 in 9 years I believe (last one was 2016 Cavs-Warriors)

US v. Haiti was on Fox for half the bball game and by then Haliburton was out (so if you were a more casual viewer you may not have switched over then)

But the series as a whole seems to be down about 10% from last year. It was a decent series, just lacked the star power outside of SGA.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Plus the Gilded Age new season started.

I'd say that was a great number for last night with the soccer, baseball, and highly anticipated premier TV show.

10% is pretty marginal.  Especially when you had two extra games  worth of viewers.
