I sent a meme of Haliburton choking to a friend who is a Knicks fan and he told me I was lame for celebrating another fan's misery when my team wasn't involved.  I will admit that there are certain teams who I definitely root for over others, and some who I flat out enjoy seeing lose.  More than the Knicks I just enjoy seeing Knicks fans disappointed after how much they get puffed up about beating us.  Or just how puffed up they ae in general.

I'll always root against the Yankees and the Canadiens.  In football there are many teams that I'll root against.

Right now, out of the 4 teams left, the Knicks are the only team I'd really rather not see win.

Am I a horrible person?

I don't act like this in real life - hoping to see people fail.
Yup

Absolutely. I was so relieved when the Lakers went down and I am definitely pushing for the Pacers over the Knicks.

I only root for one team in all major sports. Seeing the teams you dislike go down is a lot more fun than seeing your 2nd best team win. I don?t even know who my 2nd favorite team is

Sure do.

The only exception I'll make is if a favorite player joins a rival.  Then, I want them to individually do well, but their team to suck.

Absolutely. I might even hate the Lakers more than I love the Celtics. Seeing them get eliminated in the first round is one of my personal highlights from this season.

Nah.  I used to.  Not so much nowadays.

I don't hold any particular ill will towards the Knicks for beating us.  Of the teams remaining, I would take some satisfaction if OKC lost but that's only because I dislike how they play the game.  It's not personal.

Yes,,, I'm rooting for the Pacers cause they have former Celtic Aaron Nesmith... But I don't care that much... Waiting to see who we draft and If we sign Luke to a long term contract and trade KP...

Rejoice no, but it would be funny if the Pacers beat the Knicks. I'd be rooting for Pacers anyway though. I've liked their franchise for awhile.

Yes, absolutely, especially the Lakers, Jets, and Yankees. And I expect the same from fans of rival teams when we lose. I only get annoyed when it's someone who doesn't even watch/like the sport (I distinctly recall one non-foot all watched rubbing in the Pat's 2017 Super Bowl loss at a customer site in Canada, which annoyed me way more than if they had been a Jets or Steelers fan). The back-and-forth (or at least the theoretical possibility for a back-and-forth, in the case of the Jets) is half the fun of sports rivalries
I'm bitter.

I hate the lakers with every fiber of my being so for them, yes.  Not only does their success depress me but the potential for their  success gives me anxiety.

Since I'm not from Boston I don't have that deep seeded hatred for New York teams though I do find the Knicks and their fans annoying.  I'm rooting for the Pacers in this series but it's not going to affect my life too much if the Knicks win it all.

This exactly regarding the Lakers - thank you for doing the writing for me.  TP!

I am from Boston but nonetheless don?t have anywhere near the same feelings about the Knicks as I do toward the Lakers. I?m rooting for the Pacers but as with you, I can live with a Knicks win.

Lakers.

Knicks.

Sixers.

Yankees.

Tampa Bay.

Montreal Canadians.

Their loses are almost as good as Boston wins.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
