Mazzulla being fired? Brad stepping down? Or just a "Hey, we had a good season, thanks for watching, see you in the fall"?

Nothing much of substance.

1.  KP will play for Latvia this summer.

2.  Acknowledges that not every season can be a championship contender, but he doesn't put limitations on any group of players.

3.  CBA might impact decisions.

4. "Real benefit" to doing surgery immediately.

5.  Acknowledged the team blew opportunities in Games 1&2, but doesn't assign individual blame

I would be very surprised if there were any specific announcement made today.  They may say things like "we plan to evaluate the entire roster", "nothing is off the table to make the team better", and so on, that is my guess.

Just what KP needs: additional opportunities to get hurt and tire himself out.

No. 2 sounds like he's telling fans to not expect a whole lot next season.

Yeah, the Porzingis stuff is the only real "news".

And yes, he's not pushing back on the "changes are coming"  narrative.

It also sounds like he doesn't know what the new owners want to do yet.

6.  Seemed not to enjoy how physical playoffs were.  Joked that teams need "linebackers"

7.  Teams should look at whether it makes sense to use more players in rotation.

8.  "Joe's great".  We're lucky we have him.

9.  Don't read into combine interviews.  They only interview guys that won't work out for them.

10.  No major "fireworks" expected through draft, but could move up, down.  Have #28 and #32 "right now"

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

It's a real downer to be done for the season and especially to have lost to the Knicks.  Not that long ago I thought we had a very good chance to have a dynasty.  Now, with the new owners, all the talk about needing to dump salaries, it feels like crap.  I am not feeling good about a future without Al, with KP, with JB, without Jrue, without JT for a year...

A mini-dynasty was the dream.  Hang a championship this year and force ownership into running it back.

But, in the grand scheme of sports, I can live with a core of the Jays, Brown, White and Pritch.  Treat next season as a bridge year, dip beneath the luxury tax, and reset this thing.

Dynasties are hard. Dynasties are usually built around a team that has the clear best or at least 2nd best player in the league. For as good as Tatum is he's not quite the level of player you typically think of as the head of a dynasty.

But also: You just need luck; Celtics didn't get it this year. Tatum, Brown, Porzingis all ended the year with various levels of injury.

I have a hard time being too upset. I like the guys on this team, I don't question their heart, and they've given me a lot of great memories the last 4 years. I hope they reset (but not blow it up) this summer and the Brown/White/Tatum core is back at in in 26-27.

I agree with this Post, I think it is fun to look back. I love this Celtics forum, But at the beginning of last year many were saying we didn't have the team to win it all.  Then we did win it all and people start talking dynasty! We Have a Great team!! Better than Most teams!! It's Almost impossible to repeat in Todays NBA. Just enjoy the ride man! We won a championship!!!! Now we are dealing with injuries, all good, will be fun to see who steps up next year. Tatum will be back!! In my opinion More Hungry than he was this year. Enjoy the Ride man, just enjoy the ride

I don?t expect Brad to give up much of what he?s thinking. The one thing that would happen right away if it were going to happen would be to fire the coach. Since that didn?t happen I think Joe stays.  I don?t like losing Jrue but I don?t mind thinking about Pritchard as a starter.  That?s five scorers capable of 20+ in the starting lineup when everyone is healthy.  I don?t mind KP playing in the summer at all as we (and the rest of the league) will be able to see if he recovers.

Brad has to work some magic and I?m looking forward to seeing what he does.
