The Celtics rank last in ball movement (266 passes per 24 minutes of possession) and 15th in player movement (10.1 miles traveled per 24 minutes) in the playoffs.
That is on Joe!! For everyone defending JM I had to look this up, the team seemed to really regress this playoffs to hero ball!!! I kept saying, what happened to the great passing from last year!!!

This is from NBA.com. This tells me we still had the team, but when the ball stops moving, even great players become much easier to defend.

Knicks don?t rotate well

They are giving us the 3 - we just miss

One pass and miss is going to kill the ball movement

Yeah...  In some ways, it's hard to fault the Celtics for using an offense that in general is very effective.  We were the 2nd most efficient offense in the NBA during the regular season.  But, I've always thought the offense would be even better if it utilized more movement and cutting, and offered opposing defenses different looks.

I'M THE SILVERBACK GORILLA IN THIS MOTHER——— AND DON'T NONE OF YA'LL EVER FORGET IT!@ 34 minutes

Can you link the data for the per 24 minutes of possession number you quote?  I only see per game on the NBA site.

Agreed.  And I think we have players with the tool set to make that work really well (especially when there was a healthy Tatum).  Plus, it's just a way more enjoyable brand of basketball to watch.
Yup

Confirms the eye test. The offense is more about match up hunting and iso than it is about freeing guys up for an open shot or getting them downhill/on the move
