As the topic states. If we can trade Porzingis what can we get for him that will be worthwhile? I would think that we would want cap relief and because he has a relatively short contract left, it shouldn't be too hard to move him. He's also very talented when healthy, the caveat being, when healthy. So he might still be an attractive piece for some teams out there.

Sad to say but doesn?t matter what we can get for him, likely nothing he just needs to be off this team and should just retire

Like KP but you can put it in pen that he misses 30-40 games next season with some injury.

This mystery illness BS this year is almost funny. Been sick for 3 months.

If we want cap relief, then we?ll likely have to pay at least a 1st in order to get it. BKN is the only team that can offer that and I don?t think they are in the market for KP.

Otherwise, we are looking at spare parts and then places to send those spare parts. In any regular trade, we?ll need to take back at least $24M.

I can?t imagine anybody is going to fool themselves into thinking KP is that missing piece at this point, though

Can we do something like Jrue and Porzingis for Durant and a pick or player? Something like that

Probably would have to send out the 2026 first round pick with it.
but if KD has two years left then you would have hope JT makes it back.

if has long Covid, nobody is going to touch him, Who wants a great player who day to day, you never know if he can play. My friend has had long covid for years now and still has not returned to his previous high level athletic self. It is one of those mystery illnesses that people have no idea how cure it.

Honestly think KP goes nowhere. Cs ride out his last year and trade him at the deadline if they are not in the playoffs. If you can't move him, he is a UFA anyway.

Can't see anyone trading for him.

This has been a tough end to the season for him, but there are a couple of teams that may talk themselves into how he would take them to the next level. The Magic could use a true stretch big that still protects the rim. But probably the one that makes most sense is the Raptors. Putting him at center would open the court up for everyone. Barrett probably goes to a third team, and the Cs get a draft compensation.

The Warriors are an interesting one too if they want to make one last title push, but that gets complicated. I also thought that he might be an ideal fit next to Zion for the Pelicans.

Remembering that we got him for nothing two years ago, I think it is likely we would get very little back.

I can?t think of one team who would be willing to sign on for the KP experience at this point, unfortunately.

Assuming he's healthy at the deadline, I think your scenario is the one. By that time, there will be a few teams that can fool themselves into "one more piece."

Utah seems like an ideal trade partner overall. Whether it's KP, Jaylen, Jrue or some variation of the 3. They have some cap space, salary pieces, and a ton of young players (Kessler, Sexton, Sensabaugh, etc.) to orchestrate something.

As others have mentioned, there aren't many other teams that can afford to take our guys and not send back much else, because their own cap situations are also dicey.

A late 1st round pick.

Or a serviceable starter. Probably in the 20-30 range if ranking starters at their position.

Porzingis would be a nice fit in Miami next to Bam.

G: Herro
G:
F: A Wiggins
F: Bam
C: Porzingis

Miami had great chemistry with Bam next to Olynyk & Meyers Leonard when they made the Finals during the Bubble. I think that partnership between Bam & Zinger would be great.

Miami do not have much to offer. They may not be willing to give up K Ware. So Duncan Robinson + maybe a first. Something like that.

An interesting option could be Cleveland.

If they are down on their current core and believe they need to shake up their double big configuration, Porzignis could be a strong alternative to Jarrett Allen. A skilled big man who can score inside, midrange and outside. Fits their offense nicely.

A swap of J Allen for Porzingis. Boston may need to throw additional assets into the mix. Maybe Hauser. Or maybe a 1st round pick.
