Another choke job, another season ended with a Tatum injury.

And yeah, their season is over, IMO. Three straight wins?two of which would have to be at home, possibly all of them without Tatum and with a weakened Zinger... not happening.

That title window was way too short and fleeting. So much for a dynasty.

woulda been a great 3 peat had we finished the job in 2022 and not let joe ruin us in 2023.

Yeah, one title is better than none, of course, but the Celtics seem to be the all-time NBA leaders in getting shafted via injuries and bad luck. The Bird era probably should've had at least one more, the KG era should've had another 2-3, and this group should've had more than one. I feel bad for Tatum, but I think we're gonna look back on this era with disappointment more than anything else.

So...I know we all hated on JT and his annoying step back 3 final shots, but how do we feel about JB now taking the last shots of games

I don't know why they don't just run their offense and have the guy with the best open look take the last shot. Or give it to someone the defense doesn't expect to take the last shot, like White or Horford.

Missed this game due to travel.  Looks like I missed a catastrophic one.  Hope Tatum is ok

Sad to see a team so talented underachieving against an inferior opponent.

"Underachieving" might end up being the word that best defines this era of Celtics ball.

Meh, this is more on the Celtics than anything, particularly the injuries.

JB is clearly not fully healthy, and KP is obviously a shell of himself. We've played poorly through some of the end-game stretches, but I think if either/both of those guys were healthy this series would look a lot more like the regular season series than the playoffs.

I'll probably take Indy over the Knicks, and if they somehow make it to the Finals, they're probably getting swept by either OKC or Denver.

This is another thing to ping Joe for...I get that in the playoffs every coach shrinks their rotation to their circle of trust, and Joe's playoff circle of trust is basically JB, JT, KP, Derrick, Jrue, Al, Luke, Sam and PP but with JB and KP hobbled and Sam out he doesn't think any of the "Stay Ready" crew are ready? Isn't part of his job to prepare those guys in case they do get called in the playoffs?
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

The Knicks stink and this series is mostly on the Celtics being dreadful, JB and KP being shells of themselves, hauser being injured and Joe not trusting anyone else and being exposed as a bad coach?.but they are indeed better then any of us wanted to give them credit for?or maybe the Celtics just aren?t as good as anyone made them out to be

1. This Knicks team is ass. Cs continue to help them to wins

2. Cs look old right before our eyes...Jrue, AL and KP just look cooked.

3. Brown has been his regular sorry self this entire series. Last year was not the norm. This is who he really is.

4. Injuries have taken a toll...jrue, JT, KP, JB, Hauser all been hurt. No excuses tho because they still should have won.

I have zero expectations in Game 5. Some pride and energy would be nice tho.

Knicks are better then you?re willing to give them credit for, haven?t even played there best in this series and are about to win in 5, so who really is ass?

Not really. They are pretty much what I expected. I put this all on Boston. Bad habits we all saw during the regular season are back again. Like clockwork they are up double digits in the third to revert to horrible shot selection and zero defense to finish games. Knicks made their shots and played harder. I will give them that.

Lost in the disappointment of a crushing loss on a rival?s floor, was the class that the New York crowd showed by giving an injured Tatum a huge ovation as he was carried off the floor.

Lost, because it didn?t happen.  I was actually kind of surprised by that.  I?m 100% certain Boston fans would have cheered any injured opponent, much less a star who had out up 40 points (maybe not Lebron lol).   All the more reason to hate NY fans.
Yup

Pretty important in basketball to play harder and make your shots, no?
OG, Bridges, KAT, hart and of course Brunson are all good players playing well in this series?.they?ve been better then the Celtics no matter which way you want to slice it

Very disappointed with this loss. Celtics were taking all of Knicks punches and we?re punching back, up until Tatum decided to play hero ball and hold the ball for 15 seconds before doing anything. Completely destroyed the flow of the game.

Also we do the hack the big man all games but when Knicks are getting streaky on a roll, we don?t do it? It would have been the perfect time to slow them down and break their momentum.

Just bad, sloppy, unwise basketball.
