If it is an Achillies...I am not sure what this team is next season.

Game 5 is done. This team just doesn't have the fight and JB is too dumb to carry them to a win.

Cs got up 14 mid third. NY took a time out and the Cs never recovered. Same as games 1 and 2.

so we choked away another double digit lead?

THIRD TIME!

LET'S GO CELTICS!

I didn?t see it, why is everyone saying it?s an Achilles? Did the commentators mention anything?

It looked just like Dame's injury. He extended his right leg behind him to go for the loose ball in front of him and immediately fell to the ground and was in immense pain. It looked like the classic Achilles injury.

Yeah I'll be shocked if that's not an Achilles

Ohh. I just saw the replay of Tatum getting hurt. I didn't get a good look at it before. That is a strange looking injury. Not good.

None contact is always bad,

Congrats to the Knicks, most of their players even showing class when Tatum got injured. Knicks have 0 shot at a title but congrats to them and goodnight to our franchise

Appears to be a ruptured Achilles for Jason Tatum. Forced dorsiflexion. Obviously not the best angle but that?s the fear for sure #celtics #knicks @KnicksMuse

Dame didn?t seem like he was in a lot of pain, though. Or he just hides it better.

This really sucks.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Just want to say, this team doesn't deserve the benefit of "Tatum got hurt". No, you blew two-20 point leads in the first two games and were awful in the 2nd half tonight. They only have themselves to blame for losing this series.

He wasn't the only one, but Jaylen was awful tonight. Even in the first half and early 3rd, every Celtics run was killed by Jaylen's stupidity. Knicks got momentum every time after.

Jaylen is not an alpha.

See this is crazy hyperbole to me. Every run was killed by Jaylen? Come on man they were -1 with him on the floor in a game they lost by 8. They were WORSE with him off the floor than on. And that's not to say he played good, he did not. But stuff like this is a little too much.

We need to make some trades and tank for a year. Assuming Tatum is missing the whole season.

Knicks were winning this game whether Tatum got injured or not?they were due for 1 decent performance and the Celtics have no one to blame but themselves, should?ve been going for the sweep tonight and this should?ve been the 1 Knicks fluke win

Yup, Celtics have more talent but with Mazzula it doesn?t matter.

This is bs from all of you blaming JB for JT?s injury.  That is idiotic and I know all of you are mad at Brown because he played poorly, but he didn?t cause JT?s injury.  grow up.

Tatum?s injury puts the whole game in series in context. If he?s out all of next year, that surely changes Brad?s calculus in terms of managing his cap. They may punt on some older guys like KP and holiday and try to reset with some younger players since JT and JB are still young and have a chance for another window. But if he?s injured the whole season and maybe part of 2026/27 then this window is definitely closed. We might?ve been able to still make a push if KP was healthy and JB was not so inconsistent but with KP passenger as well and Hauser out affecting our depths, we will just be one of many instead of ahead of the pack.
