We are 33-8 on the road this year. If we lose next game it will surely not be ideal but ever since the 2004 Red Sox miracle, I will never count out any team.

Joe needs to adapt the offense though to the current 4th quarters melt downs.

If it means Joe is gone, then i hope.so.

Joe hasn?t been great these playoffs but the players are the ones really coming up short

To have zero pride at home in the playoffs is embarrassing

You already played like trash at home in the RS enough is enough

Players haven't been great either, but they are playing his style of ball.
I can't stress this enough how much the decision to put NY in the bonus with 2 minutes to go says about Joe's ability. Smart coaches don't do that. Can you remember the last ATO play or end of game play he did that impressed you? I can't. Do we even run plays?

I'm tired of the low IQ coaching and low IQ players. It's time for some changes. Brad needs to be held accountable to for putting this clown in charge. Brad gives us some slightly better than avg coach and we're wondering if we're going to hit 4 titles in the J's tenure, not struggling to get to 2.

I do have some fear over this. If the team is broken up (somewhat at least) in the summer due to financial concerns. Will the Jays get back to title contention? What will their window be? Are we looking at 1-2 titles instead rather than 3-5 titles?

With the new CBA(once it catches up to the league), they should be able to compete with the Jays as their core. Win or lose, I expect changes given how expensive this team is and how prohibitive the new CBA is to have this level of salary.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Probably a good thing that they'll only be down 2-1 after tomorrow then.

We were down in 2023 2-0 to MIA, and proceeded to get our heads bashed in Game 3 to go down 3-0. Would like that to not happen obviously. I'd like to think our talent this time won't allow that (Porzingis + Jrue + improved PP > Brogdon/Smart/Timelord/Grant), but some of that also depends on if Porzingis wants to join the party

If Porzingis could actually show up for once I think that really swings thing in our favor. Between his illness and poor play though, that hasn't happened at all really this postseason besides Game 2 vs. Orlando where we didn't have JT.

Swept?  Highly unlikely.  I would say more likely that BOS wins 4 straight than NYC wins 2 straight.

Possible? Of course.  BOS played way worse in the last two games than I ever could have imagined.  Seeing that makes a the idea of a sweep a reality.

I keep listening to the Kevin Millar voice in my head.  Just win the next game.  If we play a solid game, play Celtics basketball, and win game 3, the picture changes completely.

We have some real fans on here hoping we lose just to fire the coach that just won a title.  Imagine how dense you have to be to not realize that this is really the last hurrah for this team because the most likely outcome before next year is that the team will be broken up.  Combine that with OKC still rising, and this is pretty much the last chance barring the unforeseen.

Me?  I would rather we win this year because I realize that we could bring back Red and still be in a worse position next year (and probably in the coming years).

Would anyone be surprised if the Knicks come out on fire with the crowd behind them and the Celtics shrink and hang their head? Kind of the like the 2023 series with Miami in that game 3. This team is reminding me exactly of the 2023 team.
These guys get knocked out in the second round then changes will certainly have to be made. How much talent does Joe need?
Can?t get him anymore he just simply might be in over his head.

I highly doubt anyone on this board would want them to lose just fire Joe over not winning another championship.
Joe is not doing himself any favors with his finger prints all over that horrible loss. Like you said all this talent they have and if they just end up winning one that is a failure that Joe will have to take a big piece of.

Folks need to remember they won a title mostly in part because the playing field was uneven; key players were injured in each round for the opposition. And then we end up playing Dallas in the Finals, who the C's were basically a nightmare for them.

Joe is and has always been the problem with failure to adjust in-game and failure to understand situational basketball.

I?m sure it?s not the majority but at least two people already said it in this very thread.

The problem for a historically winning team?  You think we?d go undefeated with a better coach?  Or maybe a better coach would have gotten two championships last year instead of just the one.

Pretty sad if this season is this team's "last hurrah." If true, I don't know if that's more the team's fault or the fault of the modern NBA financial landscape, but it's pretty lame that a core that first made the NBA Finals just three seasons ago is already nearly done with its championship window. If the Celtics really won't be a top contender next season, they might as well trade off Tatum and Brown for a bunch of good picks and start building the next title team?one that'll stay in contention a bit longer than 4 years.
